As part of @ uk_skittles’ mission to help the world #SeeTheRainbow, the Queer Joy exhibition has showcased 50 striking portraits of queer people, captured by emerging LGBTQ+ photographers from the UK and abroad, across Pride season.⁠

@lohunterphoto and @anampinto are two photographers whose images feature in the exhibition that can be seen around @kingscrossn1c, London.⁠

HAPPY UK BLACK PRIDE
Being at @UKBlackPride was everything for us. So many beautiful and meaningful connections made. Dom @Folieadom was looking after our stall and said, “Being at UK Black Pride was empowering because so many people came from near and far to celebrate and uplift the community. The last time we were at @UKBlackPride we were but a dream and now we are a true and gorgeous reality. Thanks so much to everyone who visited us at our stall, especially the ever iconic @LadyPhyll who was not just with us, but also simultaneously inside our museum as a sculpture! Now that’s real multitasking!

Repping @QueerBritain last night one of our advisors @DanNouveau congratulated @HeatherSmallMPeople for her appointment as Patron of @IrisPrize which celebrates 15 years in 2021. The in-person and online programme hits screens in October!

We are Queer Britain, a charity working working to establish the UK’s first-ever LGBTQ+ museum, and we aim to record, study and preserve stories that might otherwise go unheard.

If you are based in London, I want to kindly invite you to the opening of ‘Representation on the line #unframingidentities’.

This exhibition will show the work of 60 female photographers and I was one of the chosen ones due to my extensive work with minorities and especially the LGBTQ+ community.
.
It’s open Weds, Fri and Saturday in Chelsea with extended opening hours during the @kcawlondon weekend (see flyer below).
.
The work I’m showing is part of ‘Hybrid-Normalisation’ and everything was shot using Polaroid film in London, NYC and Los Angeles.
