After winning my age group at OCR Worlds and completing a Spartan Half Marathon, I needed a new challenge.

So I made one up.

A V10.

A 420kg powerlifting total.

A half marathon.

One day.

Whatever happens on Sunday, this block has already been a success:

✅ V10 maintained
✅ +60kg on my total
✅ Half marathon PB from 1:59 → 1:47

Now it’s time to find out if all three can coexist in the same day.

What adventure are you training for? 💪🔥

Athlete Spotlight 🌟

Introducing Will Watterson.

Will was introduced to OCR through a family win and has been hooked ever since, safe to say the Watterson household is a little competitive 💥

With 15 years of rock climbing behind him, many obstacles feel right at home, though he’s only recently started making peace with the running side of things.

As a certified fitness coach, Will is all about being capable: strong, fit, and ready for whatever comes next. OCR gives him exactly that, plus a whole lot of fun along the way.

Will is on that startline for the AG 80m, 3km, 15km and 6km team relay. Lining up with brother Chris… and probably looking to settle a few long-standing sibling scores. No pressure 👀

When my brothers and I entered our first OCR -- @blazinghills_nz -- we had no idea what to expect.

I was pleasantly surprised that the @questline.coaching hybrid approach to training had put us in good stead! Although nothing could prepare us for Mt Doom...

Might be kind of addicted now... maybe we should keep this ball rolling eh @nzobstaclesports ??
