One last summer session with Maggie—and Raena helped us finish strong! 🥍💪

Raena came out for a solo session and stayed an extra hour to join Maggie for a combined workout. That meant more shots for Maggie, some new drills, and plenty of competition and laughs.

After our usual warm-up, we got into feeds from X with a cutter, followed by crease rolls and dodges from X. We mixed in some power shots and, of course, a little flexing to settle who had the biggest muscles that day. 😂

A gorgeous sunset, two talented athletes putting in the work, and all of us leaving the field drenched in sweat and feeling amazing. A pretty great way to wrap up Maggie’s summer training!

With fall ball games getting underway, I can’t wait to see Maggie at Rockhurst and Raena at Quincy kill it this fall. Go get it, ladies! 🔥

In just a few weeks, students, athletes and teams will be making their way back to Quincy to begin another school year of activities. So, I need to get back in the habit of doing something I love to do. In August, I will happily begin my 22nd year of photographing sporting events at QU and I can't wait to welcome you all back and I'm looking forward to meeting of you who are beginning your QU journey as a Freshman or transferring student.
Picking out photos for this post allowed me to look back at last year's QU Athletics and what a year it was. There were a lot of great team wins, many outstanding individual accomplishments, multiple GLVC Conference Players of the Week awards, teams returning to their conference tournaments, records broken and even a National Champion. I really .photographing all of you through all of these achievements. So, if you graduated, transferred, decided not to return or are preparing to return, I thank you for allowing me to capture parts of this past school year.

Fast shots. Fast decisions. Plenty of laughs.

Before we got into another night of 3v3, we fired up the radar gun to see who had some juice… and Addie Rohrbach laid down a 69 MPH rocket to take home the fastest shot. 💥

Then it was time to play. Quick touches, creative shots and dodges, constant movement, and a group of college players pushing each other to get better every possession.

And because it wouldn’t be an Eighth Day session without it… stick around for the bloopers at the end. 😄

Work hard. Compete. Have fun. That’s what summer is all about.
