Brian Jones - "A Degree Of Murder" O/S (1967/2026)
.
Not exactly #newmusicfriday but new out today. The original soundtrack for Volker Schlöndorff's German Cinema release that starred Anita Pallenburg (Brian's lady friend... Or was it Keith 🤔).
.
The exact personnel involved in the recording is a bit hazy other than Brian, Nicky Hopkins, Kenny Jones and some fella called Jimmy Page... name rings a bell 🤔😁. Other Stones rumoured to have been involved, but never confirmed.
.
Obvs there's no snippets from this on Instagram so let's just celebrate Brian Jones' Hair with Quick Romance 🤷‍♂️🔥

📣Announcing the line-up for our Fuelled by Cider Halloween Special of our Free Community Music Festivals!

🎸Friday 30 October – a full evening of live music, five bands, and festival vibes right in the heart of Bath.

🎵 Meet the line-up performing across two stages:

CARSICK @carsickofficial -
Salisbury indie rockers CARSICK blend the kitchen sink drama of early Arctic Monkeys with The Wombats’ indie-dancefloor chops and Joe Strummer’s punk venom, releasing new single Social Smoker, out now.

Technicolour Steam Train @technicoloursteamtrain -
A nine-piece ska-fusion band blending soul-funk grooves, 2-tone roots, and hip-hop, led by frontman Charlie Mulford, “seriously unserious.”

CLUB BRAT @club.brat -
A high-intensity punk/noise pop band from Peterborough, blending jagged guitars, bass-heavy dissonance, and volatile rhythms with a relentless DIY spirit.

Quick Romance @quickromanceband -
If The Rezillos’ Flying Saucer Attack married X-Ray Spex’s Oh Bondage Up Yours! with The Shangri-Las as bridesmaids – that’s Quick Romance: real mean teens.

Monkey Bizzle @monkeybizzle_ -
West Country hip-hop/funk outfit Monkey Bizzle blend tongue-in-cheek sarcasm, deep grooves, and Scrumpy & Western charm – like The Wurzels meets The Streets – pure “agricultural” rap fun.

📅 Friday 30 October | 5.45pm to 10.15pm
🎟️ FREE or pay-what-you-can - book now at komediabath.co.uk
