Thank you to @bloodmilk for welcoming me and my one rack of vintage and three lil perfumes into their space 7 years ago, to @odditiesandcuriositiesexpo for letting me share my concoctions with so many amazing humans all over the country and bringing this beautiful community together every weekend, @shopsaturnreturn and all our other retailers for believing in my work enough to carry it among yours, and to everyone who continues to show up to support independent artists. I am so grateful I can’t see straight. I love you. SEE YOU IN RICHMOND THIS WEEKEND 🖤

I spent the last 6 months reclaiming my life and it was so healing.
I took an intentional huge step back from social media in January and made a commitment to live my life before posting about it. I have been sharing my personal life, as well as my work, online for over a decade. Earlier this year I was in a bad place and found myself deeply overwhelmed with the state of the world. War, social unrest, AI, influencers, algorithms, the illiteracy crisis. The absolutely horrendous way that people treat each other in our current social climate and on the internet especially. The pressure to constantly be “creating content” and putting out my best work on a daily basis. I was OVER IT.

Since then, I have stayed offline as much as I reasonably could, because I am a small business owner above all else. If I posted, I did it because I actually wanted to, and I did it my way, regardless of what I was “supposed” to do.
I spent these months traveling all over the country slinging my wares, spending time with my loved ones, touching grass, serving my communities, and relearning how to live my life for ME and for the people around me. Not for apps disguised as real community. Not for attention, clout, engagement, exposure, networking, or branding. I’ve done a thousand cool things this year and I focused on doing them, and enjoying them in the moment, and rarely did I have time leftover to share them to your screen.

I realized a long time ago that I have nothing to prove to anyone except myself.
Your life gets so much better when you stop caring how it looks to other people.

I expected to throw in the towel completely at some point this year, but this little sabbatical has accidentally reinspired me to come back in full force. I have always loved filming, editing, taking photos and connecting with all the amazing people around me. I have a lot of changes in my personal life happening right now and I’m actually excited to share them. It may look a bit different than what you’re used to seeing from me in the past, but I’m here, and I’m glad you are too 𓆩ᥫ᭡𓆪
