Same uniform. Different energy.

I’ve found a work uniform that works for me, and I’m going to wear it as many times as I want.

What changes? The details.

A different hat, sneakers, socks, jewelry, or another layer can make the same outfit feel completely different.

I’ve spent years styling people, and one thing I know is that you don’t need a new outfit every time you get dressed.

You need to know how to work with what you already own.

I’m changing my patterns, repeating outfits I love, and making my clothes purposeful.

This Wearing Everything I Own challenge is teaching me that getting dressed doesn’t have to be complicated to be interesting.

A uniform is a formula, not a restriction.

Are you an outfit repeater, or do you feel like you have to wear something different every time?

My sister shopped her closet. I got the benefits!

I’ve been working so much lately that my work uniform has become my saving grace. Less time deciding what to wear, more energy for everything else.

But Wearing Everything I Own is teaching me something beyond how to get dressed.

I got my sister to join the closet challenge, and now we’re both benefiting.

Closet cleanouts, clothing swaps, giveaways, and rediscovering pieces we already own.

One woman’s giveaway can become another woman’s favorite outfit.

And the best part? We’re clearing space while making room for something new ,without constantly buying more.

This challenge is becoming challenging, but beneficial.

Shopping my own closet has become a whole different experience.

Would you swap clothes with your sister or a friend?

Fall fashion brought me back to my closet.

I’ve been working overnights, putting in long hours, and trying to find the capacity for everything else I’m building.

My work uniform has been doing its job. I’ve been wearing it faithfully, but even I get bored and want to see something different.

And with fall here, I have an entire wardrobe waiting for me.

I’m back shopping my own closet, rediscovering fall outfits, playing with pieces I haven’t worn in a while, and remembering why I fell in love with fashion in the first place.

I didn’t start Wearing Everything I Own just to find a work uniform. I started to rediscover my personal style, wear what I already have, and decide what deserves to stay.

And I’m committed to finishing what I started.

This challenge is challenging, but grand.

What’s the first thing you look forward to pulling out of your fall wardrobe?

I found my work uniform!

And I’ve been wearing it. But I still have an entire closet of clothes to get through before I decide what’s staying and what’s going.

The commitment hasn’t changed. I’m wearing everything I own before buying anything new.

Today’s look is a little Remington and Lamont, my friend’s line, and it’s perfect for one of those sunny, fall-ish days.

I’m enjoying having a formula for work. It makes getting dressed easier, especially with the long days I’ve been working.

But I didn’t start this challenge just to find a uniform.

I started it to rediscover what I own, remember why I bought it, wear it, and decide whether it still belongs in my life.

Some pieces are staying. Some need a little imagination. And some have served their purpose.

I’m making those decisions by actually wearing the clothes.

The uniform is settled. The closet journey continues.

Have you ever held on to something in your closet because you loved it, even though you never wore it?

Even a uniform needs range.

I love the ease of having a work uniform, but even I get bored and want to see something different.

R13 wasn’t always a favorite of mine, but I love it now. And you can never go wrong with a vintage Redone T-shirt and a good old vintage Five Brother buffalo check flannel.

The weather is changing too—cool mornings, sunny afternoons—so layers are back in the conversation.

That’s the thing about a uniform.

It’s a formula, not a restriction.

The formula makes getting dressed easier. The individual pieces keep it interesting.

Today: R13 jeans, a vintage Redone T-shirt, vintage Five Brother flannel and sneakers.

Comfortable enough to work.
Enough layers for the weather.
Still feels like me.

Monday is a good day.

What’s one piece you weren’t a fan of at first but completely changed your mind about?

I don’t need more clothes. I need what I own to work.

I’m still committed to wearing everything in my closet before buying anything new.

Today: this Alias Collective set from https://www.aliascollectives.com/.

Loved it. Didn’t love the elastic bottoms.

So I cut them.

Now the pants work better for me.

That’s part of shopping your own closet too.

Wear it.
Pay attention.
Alter what can be fixed.
Style it differently.
Release what doesn’t work.

Buying something new isn’t automatically the answer.

Work has had me beyond busy.

And while I’ve been building my work uniform, I’ve also been working on something much bigger: increasing my capacity.

Capacity for work.
Capacity for New & In Between.
Capacity for my coaching.
Capacity for the ideas I’m building.
Capacity for my actual life.

I’m learning that building the life you want isn’t only about adding more.

It requires creating systems that make the things you already have to do easier.

Even getting dressed.

Today it’s raining.

Denim jumpsuit. Rain boots. Done.

My closet did its job so I could go do mine.

That’s what I mean when I say your closet should support the life you actually live.

I don’t need more clothes.

I need the clothes I own to work for the life I’m building.

And right now, I’m building a lot.

What’s one area of your life that needs more capacity?

Back to wearing everything in my closet.

No work uniform today. No formula to build. Just keeping the commitment I made to actually wear what I own.

And this is exactly why I started doing it.

I can look at something hanging in my closet and think, “That’s cute.” But wearing it gives me completely different information.

This neckline is a little turtleneck-ish, and the polyester blend isn’t my favorite when it comes to breathability and how it feels on my body.

Doesn’t mean it’s a bad piece.

It means I’m paying attention.

How does it feel?
Do I keep adjusting it?
Am I comfortable?
Would I choose it again?
Does it work for my body and my life now?

You can’t answer all of that by standing in front of your closet.

You have to wear the clothes.

That’s why I’m committed to wearing everything I own.

Some pieces will remind me why I bought them.

Some will earn a new place in the rotation.

And some will give me all the information I need to let them go.

Wearing it is the test.

What’s something in your closet you like looking at more than you actually like wearing?

A uniform is a formula—and this is one of mine.

One piece. Sneakers. Jewelry. Done.

I’m building my work uniform from clothes I already own, and a jumpsuit makes sense for the way I actually work.

I can move in it. I’m comfortable. I still feel put together. And most importantly, I don’t have to spend time figuring out what goes with what.

That matters.

A functional closet should make getting dressed easier, not give you another decision to make before your day even starts.

That’s why I’m paying attention to what I consistently reach for now that I’m back working in film and television wardrobe.

I’m not just wearing everything I own anymore. I’m identifying my formulas.

The pieces that work earn their place.

Today, the Faherty jumpsuit understood the assignment.

What’s your one-and-done piece?

A weekend uniform starts with understanding the life you actually live.

For Saturday errands, my formula is simple:

Comfort. Movement. Function. Ease.

Today, that means a sweatshirt, biker shorts, socks and sneakers—all from my existing closet.

A uniform isn’t about wearing the same outfit every day. It’s about identifying the pieces and combinations that consistently work for your body, your lifestyle and how you want to feel.

That’s what Wearing Everything I Own is teaching me in real time.

When you wear the clothes already in your closet, you collect useful information.

You notice what you reach for.
What works.
What makes you feel good.
What no longer serves you.

Then you can identify the formulas that support your life and clear the rest.

Your closet should support the life you actually live.

What’s essential in your weekend uniform?

I’m back working in film and television wardrobe, and now this challenge has a new assignment: build my work uniform.

I’m still wearing everything I own before buying anything new, but being back at work is helping me see my closet differently.

What do I actually reach for when I have to get dressed and WORK?

I need clothes I can move in. Clothes that are comfortable, functional and work worthy. Sneakers I can stand in for hours. Layers. Pieces that work together without me having to think too hard about getting dressed.

So instead of buying a new “work wardrobe,” I’m going to build my uniform from what I already own.

And I think that may be one of the most useful parts of this entire challenge.

I’ve spent months rediscovering what’s in my closet. Now I get to see what actually deserves to stay there.

What would be essential in your work uniform?

Returning to film and television wardrobe is making me see my closet differently.

I’m not just asking, “Do I like this?” I’m asking, “Can I actually work in this?”

I started wearing everything I own because I wanted to stop buying more, rediscover what I already had and pay attention to what still works for the life I’m living now.

And life keeps changing.

I’ve been working on my podcast, New & In Between, building frameworks for my style and life coaching business, writing and dreaming bigger dreams. Now, stepping back into wardrobe means I need clothes that can keep up with me.

I’m also thinking about building a work uniform for this season—not because I want to wear the same thing every day, but because I want to take the thought out of getting dressed.

A few reliable combinations. Clothes I can move in. Pieces that work together. Sneakers. Layers. Things that feel like me and support the work I’m actually doing.

Comfort. Movement. Function. Ease.

The interesting part is that returning to wardrobe is also helping me clear space. I’m seeing what I actually reach for, what serves this version of my life and what I’ve simply been holding onto.

Maybe wearing everything I own was never just about wearing the clothes.

Maybe it’s about paying attention to what this season requires—and making room for the life I’m building now.

What comes to mind when you think about creating a uniform for your current season of life?
