POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Trying to loosen my own definition of what it means to be a creative person and doing some down right irresponsible doodling. All the grey doesn’t capture the joy of the thing, but I was very inspired by a workshop with @len_grant last year and I’m glad I brought my pens to Germany with me.

🌙 OLD DEVIL MOON 🌜

✨
Caught up in a 60s fog.
✨
It's so hard to find the time, but the image for this one presented itself to me almost complete, and with a Saturday night to spare.
✨
Buying outfits to go out, but not going out, so wearing them indoors for photos. If you see me in this dress in real life please pretend you haven't seen this photo.

KNACKERED
✨
I have named this one after my most used word at the moment.
✨
I think about pictures all the time. Almost constantly. I intend for @quite_use_less to be a conceptual experiment, but honestly, right now, I'm too tired.
It's so frustrating to not have the energy to dedicate to those thoughts. Even though this is not the kind of work I intended to share, it's still valuable.
✨
I am extraordinarily lucky to be experiencing some of the reasons I'm tired: time with friends, time with family, a job I care about, buying my own home. Still, it takes its toll. After a year of nothing, doing more than one task a day is draining. I need some practice, and maybe some vitamin c.

TAKING A MOMENT
✨
I have a pretty specific idea for something I want to shoot, and have been putting off doing anything else until I get the chance to try it out. This is exactly what I did not want to happen in starting on this photo journey again, so this morning I decided to take a moment, and take a photo.
✨
This is, quite obviously, not staged. My room is a mess at the moment, partly because I'm so tired, and partly because I'm gearing up to move house soon. There's gigantic bits of furniture propped against walls, and cardboard boxes on standby, waiting for the big day. Still, I've got a window for a bedroom wall, and lots of glorious light.
✨
Bear with me, & expect packing boxes to become a theme of my posts in the next 6 months.

LOVE LETTERS
✨
Chances are, if we're friends and you live far away, we've dated, or I had a crush on you between the ages of 16-21 (alright, 25), that you'll have received a letter from me. Chances are, if you've ever sent me a letter, I still have it. Letters are so important, & whilst I am never quite as prolific as I'd like, I still write them. What I love most, though, is the thoughts I receive in return. The person you're seeing, your childhood, your identity, mistakes you've made, people you've loved, people you've fallen out of love with. Tell me it all, & I'll keep them. I also accept love letters.
✨
*Letters can also be emails. Sometimes it's the attitude, not the medium.
✨
Once again, I can't get my colours right across devices. I love my low budget Lord Byron look though, & I'll probably recycle it for something else.

DEEP BREATHS
✨
me, trying to manifest patience to deal with all this fucking bullshit.
✨
One of the aforementioned additional shots I was happy with. Shame I was too in the zone to iron anything.

OUTTA SIGHT
✨
(outta mind)
✨
Pretending that my chronic indecision is an artistic choice. This shoot went way better than expected and I have a few more posts to come. Although, expect headshots rather than glowing galaxy orbs.

FLASH
✨
Nothing revolutionary, just an excuse to do my makeup & get dressed up. All about playing & learning atm.
✨
First ever vid, let's see if this works.

WHITE RABBIT
✨
I set up for some portraits this evening and made it way too overcomplicated. I was supposed to be obscured and ghostlike, but this snap I took to test the light, where I'm in clear view, without having done any prep or makeup (except lipstick) ended up being my favourite shot.
✨
I've taken a few extra days off work to try and reclaim some of my time, and myself. Hoping to shoot something a little more together over the long weekend.
