POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Every week is different and this week more challenging due to rain and winds. There was still a paddle on Sunday even with the gusts were at 50 km an hour we protected from the westerlies as our stretch runs North to south & only the most experienced. Have a great week and enjoy the slight increase in flown, and the autumn colours 🩵🌧️💚

Is Reading on your SUP bucket list? Probably not. But perhaps it should be.

📍 Reading → Wargrave | 11km | One-way | 2 portages

Three rivers, autumn colours, Sonning Bridge, the wonderful architecture along the River Loddon and the adventurous St Patrick’s Stream. There's a curious Royal Mail connection. Why did they have to clarify that something was definitely NOT an operational posting facility?

The best bit? You can arrive by train and be on the water within a 10-minute walk of Reading station. No car needed.

This is Route 1 in Paddle London.

Over four paddle sessions we had 14 out of 18 of our club members join last week. So important to seize these outdoor moments whilst we can, as the weather this week is 🌧️ ☔️ well done to all + anyone else who gets out and keeps on moving despite how full life is. #thamesriver #supclubuk #supclub #maidenheadsupclub #seizethemoment 🏆🏃✅💚👏🥇🩵

This paddle never fails to surprise friends who don't know London from the water.

📍Richmond → Putney 15km
🌊 Tidal Thames

I usually launch from Richmond riverside (tube, train, bus), but Ham has free riverside parking for friends arriving by car.

Time it to catch the ebb tide when conditions are right and you're in for a treat. Syon House, tidal meadows, Kew Palace, Chiswick, Barnes and the famous Boat Race course all the way to Putney. So much to see, with the tide helping us along.

I always treat myself to a tea and cinnamon bun after at @wearetheclubhouse on Putney Embankment.

I never tire of having this adventure on my doorstep. Thanks Shilpa for the company.

You'll find details of this route and plenty more to explore in my book Paddle London.

A Sunday safari special for some of our SUP club members today. We followed Anu’s absolute fantastic Paddle London guidebook Route 24 and 25 -Regents Canal going through Camden past London zoo. Just 11 km with plenty of time to look around and absorb those London vibes thank you @mysupstories for creating such a super book for us Paddle nerds! #paddlelondon #supclubuk #supregentscanal
