August 26’ Wrapped

Books:

1. Country People by Daniel Mason*
2. Body Language by Meg Howrey*
3. Switzy by Emma Cline*
4. Waist Deep by Linea Maja Ernst
5. Steppe by Oksana Vasyakina
6. Pink Slime by Fernanda Trías
7. The Singer’s Gun by Emily St. John Mandel
8. Exit Party by Emily St. John Mandel

Tried to catch up on my ARCs this month, and read three books for #womenintranslation month. Didn’t find any five star reads but the standout was definitely Switzy, I can’t stop thinking about that one.

*gifted - thank you to the tagged publishers!

Films & TV:

Sterling Point (TV) - really loved this sweet show
The Odyssey
The Drama
Station Eleven (TV) - favorite of the month
Tuner
Eternity

Music:

Rowing song by Lennon Stella
I know a place by MUNA
What if it’s right? by Gracie Abrams and Mumford & Sons
Badlands by Mumford & Sons and Gracie Abrams

A big Mumford & Sons month for me.

Memories:

Still participating in @qwordyq hardest reading challenge you’ll ever do, using @freshlyreadbooks cute bingo board. Having so much fun with this challenge.

Took two trips to the OR coast this month, one with friends and amazing food; another was our annual family trip where I got to fully embrace being auntie and cuddling two sweet babes. Attended my first farm to table dinner hosted by the best @erinehudson_ where the neighbors all made dishes from their gardens, the food and company was incredible.

What was your favorite read or memory from August??
