Meet one of our props @r.achel !! “Hi everyone! My name is Rachel and I am a third year statistics major with an emphasis in data science here at state. Before coming to college, I played travel softball year round and was the captain of my high school team, and earned all-league awards every year. I also played varsity basketball and JV volleyball for a couple years. I had so much fun playing team sports that I knew I had to join something in college, so I joined the women’s club rugby team last year! Other clubs I am a part of at state include Women in Science Society, Delta Beta Tau co-ed Buddhist and community service fraternity, and the Artificial Intelligence club. In my free time, I enjoy finding new music and hanging out with my friends at the beach or new food places we find. Nice to meet you all 😌 state hits !! 💪🏉”

today marks one year. one year ago i had the opportunity of a lifetime to visit leon nicaragua for 15 days with people ive never met before. within the first couple days i grew extremely comfortable with these people and started seeing this family grow. there was never a dull moment with them despite any conflict or problem lol. till this day I still crave the delicious meals that we ate at imabite 😭 or reminiscing the bus rides slapping “let’s do it again” by j boog. this trip taught me a lot and opened my eyes to the things i would of never considered. i am beyond grateful to have had this opportunity to experience this trip. so many memories that i will cherish forever and continue to share with those around me even if it’s about me tumbling down a volcano for almost a good 30 seconds lol also so grateful to have had the GREATEST if not the best global leaders summer and cynthia to show us what Leon had in store. I miss you guys dearly. Team Tuani forever in my heart 💙 🇳🇮( also so sorry for the last video LOL )

From July 3rd until July 17th I was a part of a Global Glimpse trip to Leon, Nicaragua 🇳🇮. On this trip I learned a lot about their culture, education, and the people in Nicaragua. I had so much fun boarding down a volcano, teaching English, and as a whole group finishing a community action project at a school. I appreciate all the support I got from Summer Search because without them I wouldn't have been a part of this amazing experience. Im also so glad to have met everyone that was on my trip because they all truly made my time in Nicaragua amazing.
