✰💿 DSP Front Behind Da Scenes lol! ❤️💛💙💿✰

Genuinely one of the funniest groups of people I’ve marched with in my whole independent marching career. DSP admin was right in how dark sky just manages to bring in so many people from such a variety of backgrounds with such a variety of talent, silly brainrot bits, and such beautiful souls. <:3

A bit of a grocery list to try and encapsulate all that you have accomplished and still have yet to accomplish, but I admire each and every single one of you!
for your talent and passion at such a young age 🎸
for your dedication to learn both the new and familiar 🍞
for your overwhelming optimism 💥💥
for being literally such a chill guy with the craziest Nintendo switch catalog ever 🎹
for reminding us to be present and to show you even when everything seems to be falling apart ⚙️
for your relentless dedication to being an absolute powerhouse on the board 😼
for hitting my cymbal and acknowledging me when I felt invisible 👑
for the drive to play smth that’s get ppl up and moving and dancing ✈️
for your beautiful an artistic mind 🎨
for holding it down with the tempo and the chillest vibe behind one of the most demanding instruments 🌵
for being someone I can physically look up to and for putting me on paramore🦒
for filling the room with such a loving and kind aura no matter where you go (and the wombo combo lol) 🐈‍⬛
for your strength and maturity in everything you do from music to rhythm games 🪲
for bringing such joy and enthusiasm to the ensemble & elevating all of us with your funny bits and connection 😦🍈 (pretend it’s a Smiski)
for keeping me in the loop and hyping me up when I was at rock bottom (also da gum went crazy) 🦈
for such meticulously crafted taste in brainrot, da kitchen, and with your musiciality 🫧

Some things I couldn't find the headspace to say:

💙 This degree is dedicated to Rayden, Bridget, Tito Bok, Tito Vato, Lola Ana, Lolo Rusty. To everyone we lost to systemically created demons. To the mental battles lost. To all the reasons capitalism will end. To all the reasons I still cry for the children and fathers and all Palestinian martyrs.

💙 I am here. I am queer. I would be no where without those who love me, including my partner of 11 years Kayla. 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈 I love you so much bub. Happy Pride.

💙 I am Filipina. Regardless of who will still tell me otherwise. "I belong to these islands."

Welcome to my intimate ceremony, bestowing my GCA cord and stole, and my M.S. hood to the most important people in my life. Please join me in celebrating the class of 2024. I'm done. 🎓
