Wrapping up September with something I believe should never need to be explained: sexual assault and domestic violence are never the victim’s fault.

Not because of what she wore.
Not because she went somewhere.
Not because she trusted someone.
Not because she stayed.
Not because she didn’t speak up sooner.

The responsibility belongs to the person who chose to cause harm.

I’m grateful I had the opportunity to speak about this, and even more grateful for every woman who continues to find the courage to speak, heal and rebuild.

It was never your fault. It is never your fault. 🤍

Ending September with a conversation that means a lot to me. 🤍

September is recognized in Lagos State as Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness Month, with this year’s campaign theme, “SGBV – It Ends With Us.”

I had the opportunity to join @itz_mystique on the Royal Breakfast Show at @r2tv 107.1 FM Lagos, where we discussed “Cover Up to Stay Safe: Wise Advice or Victim Blaming?”

We talked about why women are so often made responsible for preventing the violence done to them, why our clothing and choices become the focus instead of the actions of perpetrators, and why raising boys with empathy, boundaries, consent and accountability has to be part of the conversation too.

Wrapping up the month this way feels especially meaningful. 🤍

BEYOND THE TITLE | 365 DAYS

The title was familiar. The weight of it wasn't.

365 days ago, I stepped into a bigger chapter.

Leadership wasn't new to me. I'd already had the privilege of working across media administration, programming and business development, in both radio and television.

But the GM role brought a different scale of responsibility — and a different perspective on what it really means to lead.

Because beyond the title are the things people don't always see.

The decisions.
The conversations.
The people.
The planning.
The pressure.
The problem-solving.
The ideas that become initiatives.
The challenges that quietly become lessons.

And sometimes, it's simply getting into the fray — knee-deep, phone in hand, getting it done.
This picture happens to be one of those moments. 😂

365 days in, I'm taking a moment to look beyond the title — at the journey, the people, the lessons, the wins, the difficult days and, most importantly, the growth.

And I'm still building 💜
