From a college graduation recital to performing in Japan.

Throwback spotlight on former Hélène’s Notes student Ryan Vincent, performing here at his graduation recital at C.W. Post after attending on a full piano scholarship that Hélène helped him work toward.

Ryan went on to become a college music professor at Nassau Community College, where he continues to teach. And his music has continued beyond the classroom—he’s currently in Japan performing with his band, Shadowstrike.

This is what makes looking back at these performances so meaningful. Music education can become much more than learning an instrument—it can become part of where a student goes next.

Hélène’s Notes works with students from beginner through advanced levels and offers NYSSMA preparation, college audition preparation, college scholarship preparation, and paid mentorship opportunities.
