We’re excited to introduce the first official executive and officer teams of SEED 🌱 This group represents a major step forward as we continue building the Society of Engineering Education and Development. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped lay the foundation and get this organization off the ground. This milestone wouldn’t be possible without you. Looking forward to what’s ahead!

Post 3/3 - The Final Round!

Our finalists showed up bright and early, and they pulled through for the last round! Congratulations to our winners! Each student received a scholarship varying depending on their placement in the competition.

A huge thank you goes to all of the industry partners who showed up ready to participate and connect! We wouldn’t be able to put on a competition of this scale without them.

That concludes the Spring 2026 TIES Sales Showdown, and we are already looking forward to next semester!

Post 2/3 - Semifinals!

Round 2 of TIES ran near-perfect! Students and coaches were able to connect with industry partners through the Connection Fair, and the semi finalists were then announced. Twenty students moved on to the next round, working through the solution step, to then decide who would make it through to the finals. Coaches worked with the students to prepare them for the round, using the case study they were given.

The six finalists were then announced at the dinner. Industry partners, coaches, and faculty alike were more than happy in congratulating those who moved on!

TIES is over, and photos are in! Too many photos to include in one post, so get ready for three!

Kicking things off with a very successful welcome dinner! Dinner, drinks, and intros were given to the industry partners to welcome and prepare them for the Semifinal/Final rounds of TIES.

🥇 Big congrats to Ryan Thill for taking 1st place in the Junior Bracket at the University of Toledo Invitational Sales Competition! Ryan not only showcased his incredible sales skills but also went up against competitors from 36 schools and came out on top. Hard work pays off, and we couldn’t be prouder of his win!
A special thank you to Dr. Willy Bolander for being the faculty lead and supporting us every step of the way.

But it wasn’t just about the competition. Our entire team had the chance to go through development blocks, network with students from all over, and connect with companies in the industry. It was a valuable opportunity for everyone to grow, learn, and gain insights from some of the best in the field. An unforgettable experience for the whole crew!
