/ Grief Beast premiered at @lashortsfest last night and the pride and gratitude I feel for being a part of this is overwhelming. @sarahtitherkaplan really is a genius and she put a lot of faith in me as a first time costume designer and production designer and it’s in my top 5 best experiences of all time. Bringing these beasts to life and giving them their aesthetics and visual representation of their lore with our make up team @__emmua__ & @aj_the_grouch was so rewarding.
Making unhinged art to put on screen, decorating the sets to feel real and weird at the same time, having no sleep and being delirious with Sarah, @vance.romance, & @amberviera felt so natural and correct. Everyone who was involved in this killed it so hard. The theatre was filled with laughter and sniffles. It clearly resonated with everyone and hearing the audience’s reaction in real time was so surreal. Sarah, thank you for trusting me and letting me put funky clothes on you. I’d build worlds and characters with you everyday forever if you let me.

I can't wait to share this incredible Summer Issue of @kelp_journal with you!

Look at this beautiful cover collage by the talented @rabbitkah

So much hard work goes into these issues from the writers, to the cover designers, to the dedicated editors. It's amazing. You're going to love it.

Thank you to every person who has made this dream of mine possible. My shop has been a long time coming, although only around for a year its been such a good run. I do it for the community. We need a good shop on the Monterey peninsula, to pop into n browse hand curated vintage clothes and trinkets. I wish i had more time and energy put into the business, but at this time in my life i just don’t. The collecting obsession will never end, and i will be selling in select friend’s shops, markets and pop-ups.

My last day open will be May 31st. Farewell party the night before, friday the 30th, more details to come.

This isn’t the end, but a new chapter. And someday a brick-and-morter may exist again.

Thank you to everyone who has watched the shop for me @brennathomas1 @punkcowboyy @mayo.rubalcava John @fuckingnikk @rabbitkah @denimbanana @getemralph_e
