These clips were taken before and after one session in @tagphofficial ‘s musical theatre bootcamp.

The hug didn’t change her sound. But in that moment, you can see her starting to love her own voice.

@rabbitrage already had a lovely instrument. She needed a clearer understanding of how to use it and maybe a little more kindness toward herself. We can be so tough on ourselves, especially when our voices won’t do what we want them to.

During the session, we explored adjustments that helped her find more resonance, steadier pitch, and less effort. Her voice was never broken. She was discovering what she could do with it.

What you hear is a first step. Practice helps her return to those adjustments until they become familiar and reliable.

But hearing herself sing with more ease? That’s already something she can take home. Sometimes, discovering what your voice can do helps you appreciate the voice you’ve had all along.

It was an honor to do ensemble singing and a song clinic for @tagphofficial’s musical theatre bootcamp. I was so impressed by how smart and hardworking these actors were, and I loved getting to work with them.

Song clinics are one of my favorite things to teach. We get to explore their instrument together. I get to tinker, we try things, and we discover what else their voice can do. Those discoveries make every class special to me.

To the actors I worked with: I hope you keep working on your craft and believing in yourselves. There is so much there to keep discovering. It was a privilege to be part of that work with you.

The weather today was hotter than yesterday same as the love and support of our friends and the amazeballs hoomans of south 🥹
