Step inside one of Canberra’s best‑kept secrets… 👀🍸 Behind the neon hum of @funtimepony is a door you’d probably walk straight past, and that’s exactly the point. Enter @parlourofdreams ✨ Part speakeasy, part fever dream. Finding it is half the magic. A staircase. A mirror. A hallway you weren’t expecting. And then suddenly… you’re in.

BURGERMAKER AT HILL STATION – HUME

We'd heard the reviews – 'Best burgers in Canberra', 'they nail it every time!' – so we were excited to finally head out to @burgermaker.aus at the @hill_station_precinct to check it out.

Tucked just off the Monaro Highway in Hume, the Burgermaker food truck is slinging some epic smash burgers and tap beers on the gorgeous revived 1860s Hill Station homestead with wide lawns, grazing animals and plenty of space to relax.

There are a range of burger options and you can choose single, double or triple depending on your appetite. Our burger picks were the Double Cheeseburger and the Oklahoma Smash, paired with a refreshing Queanbeyan Bitter on tap.

We're pleased to report the reviews were spot on — crisp-edged, deeply savoury and assembled with love.

While we were there, Burgermaker was a hit with everyone from tradies, couples, mates and families. The open lawn area is perfect for mothers' group catch-ups - kids can feed the animals, play in the sandpit and run wild while you settle in for a chat and quality burgers. On weekdays, there's also @loading.zone.coffee on-site for your caffeine fix.

Thanks @burgermaker.aus and @hill_station_precinct for a great afternoon
