🎭 Community over competition.

At our most recent Hollywood Showcase, we asked our students what they would remember most about the experience. Again and again, they talked about the people.

The hugs after a performance. The friends they've made. The encouragement, advice, and support they give each other.

Acting can be a competitive industry, but that doesn't mean your fellow actors have to be your competition. You can celebrate someone else's wins, learn from their experiences, and build friendships that last beyond the classroom.

That's the kind of community we want to create at Actor's Edge: a place where actors can do their best work while cheering each other on.

Because the people beside you aren't just sharing the room. They're part of the journey.

🎬 Screening night with our LA Adult classes!

This week, we got to celebrate the filmed scenes and projects our actors have been working on in class, watching them together on the big screen.

Moments like this are about more than just the final product. They’re about collaboration, creative risk, and seeing the work come to life in a shared space. It’s a chance to reflect, support each other, and build a stronger creative community.

There’s something special about experiencing your work this way, surrounded by people who were part of the process.

2025

The year I finally got my writing published. The year my family came to visit New York. The year of the Diner Girls. The year Ris and I played hooky to go to a book launch event. The year of the Three Woman Horse (patent pending). The year we got to celebrate Taylor’s MFA success. The year Natahlia and I *finally* got our matching spatula tattoos. The year I stepped foot in the Atlantic Ocean. The year I had to say goodbye to some of the best people I know. The year I also got to say hello to some of the other best people I know. The year we were all Working Girls. The year I traveled to another continent for the first time (New Zealand post coming later). A year of acting and writing. A year of growth and too many jobs. The year we learned Nick Jonas is bad a bowling.

Here’s to the absolutely wonderful people who filled my year. And to hoping 2026 brings just as many brilliant things.
