Mother and Daughter, both interdisciplinary.

The original piece by Keller was a video experiment in her time as a grad student at San Francisco Art Institute in the 90s.
In a white room, wearing all white attire, she threw herself on the floor repeatedly.

Dehm created a piece titled KLUTZ in her undergraduate years at School of the art institute of Chicago, wearing a beige bodysuit, repeatedly falling. (Keller didn’t reveal her piece until Dehm finished school)

Dehm performed a rendition of this work in collaboration with Keller’s in Chicago at DFBRL8R Gallery’s ‘Caliber of Risk’
Just after graduating from art school this spring.

Repetition, and stamina.
Endurance, and indulgence
Picking a cheek,
pulling yourself back up.
Collapse, and persevere.
White knuckle and grit.
Falling serves as a connective tissue for us as bodies with feeling, pain, and strength.

Striving to depict these successful representations of failure are cyclical, inescapable, impossible, and entrancing.

Heels and hose bear the brunt.
An homage to my mother, I love you to
pieces.

Well, comrades. It has been a week here in the Twin Cities — it’s been a month. We continue to stand in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors and our community working together tirelessly toward real justice and true peace. Our systems of power most certainly need an overhaul and our people deserve the beautiful promise of liberty made to us by the constitution of this great country we call our home.

In the midst of this occupation of terror and fear, I am fortified by the faith in action I see on every level from every walk of life. There are innumerable stunning lights in this deep dark. “Neighborism” is the watchword for 2026 without a doubt.

While we whole-heartedly support the national strike tomorrow, we closed last Friday and I believe that we, as a very small local business, can offer more good tomorrow by keeping our doors open.

We will remain open tomorrow 10-5 if you need a soft place to land. And we will be donating 100% of the proceeds from our “Bear Witness” sales and 25% of proceeds from ALL other sales to @icafoodshelf rent relief and food assistance in our community.

This decision was not made lightly. This is a marathon and we do not intend to burn out in the first leg of the race. We will keep showing up honestly with open hearts and open minds — however imperfectly. Each one of us has an important and distinct role to play in this effort and we hope to remain true to our commitments to beauty, creation, compassion, connection, and community in all that we do. 🕯️
