I hear mothers say it all the time, and I’ve said it to myself too: “I wish I could freeze this age.” Not because I don’t want to see my girls grow, but because I love this time so much and never want to forget the little moments that make it special. I already love watching them grow. I’ll love seeing who they become, cheering them on through every stage, and watching them become more and more themselves. But I also want to stay present for who they are right now. The way they still want to be close. The way their little arms wrap around me. The way they look at me, talk to me, and reach for me when they need comfort. The way they ask me to stay just a little longer. I knew one day I wouldn’t get to rock them to sleep anymore. One day they would be too big to curl up in my arms or reach for my hand without thinking. One day they’ll want to spend their afternoons with friends instead of their parents. And one day, they’ll be building beautiful lives of their own. And I’ll be so proud. But I want to make a mental note of these moments while I’m living them: “this moment is special.” I want to notice the way they fit in my arms, the sound of their voice, the little things they say, and the feeling of being needed in this particular season. I want to let myself fully take it in instead of moving through each day without realizing how meaningful it is. Because I know it won’t last forever. The moments that feel ordinary today may be the moments I’d give anything to have back someday. So I want to hold them a little longer. Take the picture. Remember the feeling. Pause long enough to recognize, “this is one of the moments I’ll miss.” Because it isn’t really about wanting to freeze an age at all. It’s about loving them so deeply that you want to be fully present for every part of it. 🤍

Downtown Apex is getting a glow-up — new roads, new sidewalks, and yes, some temporary chaos. But while it’s under construction, our small businesses are feeling it. Down 70% maybe more for others. Found it! 🧸 A Jellycat at Stylish Living for my daughter — not because she needed another stuffy , but because of what it meant to the store for one more item to be sold that day. It represents more than “just another stuffy”. 🍕 Pizza from Anna’s Pizzeria on the corner. We got the meat lovers and we gobbled it. Let’s talk about how delish the crispy crust was. Omg. Try it. The owner was outside welcoming people in. Go meet him. Then sit down and eat! 🍦 Kilwin’s, because there’s always room for ice cream. My favorite is Travers City Cherry and my disgusted is Blue Moon. The owners are charming, wonderful people. Your Say YES to Apex can look different. The goal is to GO! Here’s my CHALLENGE: 100 people. $125 spread across 1-3 downtown businesses. I take on a limited number of clients each week so that I can really prioritize my sessions, turnaround times and flexibility for weather reschedules…so once those dates are gone, I do not open more. ✨ Do your clients ever travel in from out of town? Shockingly, almost 80% of my seniors are NOT local! 🤯 It is such an honor to photograph seniors from all over the country that travel in for their senior experience here in Charleston! ✨ Are digital files included? ALWAYS! I have one senior package that includes everything you need to have a well-rounded senior experience: 2 hours of shooting, multiple hand-picked locations, up to 5 outfit changes and an easy-to-use gallery of digital files. The most common thing I I hear from moms who want to book a mother-daughter session is always the same thing.. “ everyone’s schedules are so busy, how will we ever find the time?” Sports, work, school, it’s a constant juggle and I get it, I am in the same boat. But here’s what I know: the right time is never just going to show up. Time moves fast when life is full and before you know the days have turned into months or years, and you wish you had captured this season in life. So Pick a date four months from now. If I could do it over.. I would requested my Mom come to the studio more often, I would have capture more of her & the girls. I would have gotten in the photo with her. I cant. But I can create a safe space for all you Mommas to bring your girls, to be pamper, treated like queens for a day, loved on and encouraged.
