2025. 🌱

- The year I did not ask for.
- The year I would not want to repeat.
- The year I am most grateful for on the other side.

When a disruptive year takes place, you can lose yourself fixating on the residue. But when you lose yourself, you always find more of God.. and in His kindness and grace, He reaches out His hand to remind you to.. “stop fixating on the residue, pick up your mantle.. and start focusing forward on the revelations”.

This year was not easy, for the many and for the one, but man.. when I look out at the resounding evidence of what it has produced in me, in my loved ones and community, I have nothing but PRAISE as we wrap this year — the irony of choosing this as my 2025 word.

It’s not what I expected (i’ve learned a lot from Job), but sitting here on the last day of the year.. I am understanding that PRAISE isn’t just a response to Gods goodness, PRAISE is an anchored response.. that come hell or high waters, in the valley or mountain top… my response is still to PRAISE anyways, because He is worthy and He is faithful. He is faithful. ⚓️🤍

For every private wrestle, every search within the rubble, every relinquished thought and every surrendered release.. God sees, God knows and He is faithful. We will see the bountiful harvest on the other side of this year. We will.

The seeds of yesterday have been sown, it’s time to FLOURISH now. 🌳🌳🌳

📔Sunday Notes

There’s a time to rest inside and there’s a time to STEP OUTSIDE — outside of your head, outside of your funk and outside of your comfort zone.

A time to step OUTSIDE of what loves to hold you back (only you know what that is) and into a faith filled community — people who are there to uplift you, speak LIFE into you, encourage you and stand with you in all seasons.

There’s something about stepping and specifically something about stepping outside to be with your people. ☀️☀️☀️

I am so happy that our Sunday Series, “Psalms for the Summer VII” is back. As we close out this day and step into a new week, may we all meditate all our Psalms for today: Psalm 16 ESV. Bless! 💛💛💛

🤍 In all that I get to do in this life, I pray that I’ll always get to meet Gods people at the altar on the other side of the obedience to prepare, study and deliver Gods word.

The mantle is heavy, it’s never convenient.. but the reward of getting to meet and stand with individuals at the altar is a feeling I wish upon all who feel led to step out and speak — but holding back.

It’s a heavenly feeling. And one that leaves you marked in a way that I cannot describe. That’s what took place yesterday as I got to stand and pray with Kara over a season she’s walking through that felt all too familiar and Emanuele.. a powerful moment in service, where his bold response (perhaps more than he knew) became the bold reminder for us all in this Christmas season that ‘God is indeed with us’. I’ll never forget it. 🥲🎄

It was a special Sunday as we wrapped out our final Sunday in SF, and look ahead for all that’s still to come in the new year! This team, this community. Man, I am incredibly marked and grateful for what has been and for what’s still to come. #SundayNotes 🤍🤍
