Penelope, looking like she is about to reject a suitor, cause a small society scandal, and take a long nap before dinner.

It’s just over 2 weeks since we said goodbye to our beautiful Basil and I’ve been so overwhelmed by all the lovely messages of support, kind words about my boy, calls, cards, flowers, plants, candles, keepsakes - my lovely people have been, well so lovely. The outpouring of love and kindness has definitely made things a bit easier.

Here is a gift we received yesterday - a beautiful piece of art.

It’s a commission organised by Basil’s fairy dog mother @marionshomedogboarding who Basil was lucky to meet in his senior years. Pretty much straight away Marion because one of his fave people and her home, one of his happy places. Ever the charmer, I know he found a firm place in Marion’s ❤️

Thank you so much to @susanwoodgrist_art who captured Basil so beautifully and scroll to see the original photo the work was modelled on taken by the talented @racheloates back in our Barkarama blogging days.

Our golden boy Percy looking debonair in his Pistachio collar and matching gem.

There’s a certain look cats give when everything meets their impeccably high standards…

Well, this is that look.

It’s always a great day when @racheloates’ photos land in my inbox. I asked @winnythecorgi to hold a few merit badges - safe to say he understood the assignment 🫡

A BIG THANK YOU 🙏🏻

Christmas feels like the right moment to say thank you 🎄

To my fantastic pet clients and friends @CharleyChau @Cheshireandwain @Dogstival and @Playtimepr who invite me in as part of their team year after year. ❤️

To all said the founders juggling all the things - I see you, and you are doing an incredible job. 👀

To the journalists, bloggers and influencer who trust me as a go-to source for quality pet content.

I’m so grateful for the relationships that make Bark+Beyond PR what it is.

And most of all I am grateful for this little fella - Basil - the reason Bark+Beyond PR exists 🐶

When Basil was once rejected as an “office dog”, it pushed me to build a PR business focussed on the modern pet lifestyle sector (which I love) and so I could spend every day with him. This picture was taken by the wonderful @Racheloates many years ago when there wasn’t a grey hair in sight, but to me you remain as gorgeous as ever Basil. I look forward to slow mornings, long walks, cuddles and quality time over the festive season with the best work companion a girl could ask for.

Wishing you and yours a very happy Christmas - love from me and Basil ❤️

And the audio is just for the human bestie - who is the other reason I like PR and thank my lucky stars daily that she is my friend. We got into the festive season last week at sing-along Muppets Christmas Carol

A tribute to the city that shaped me and some of the talented photographers who have had the pleasure of working with me 💃🏻

This showgirl is ready for her retirement era, but wow did she do us proud 🥲 Which picture is your favourite?

Humans may be busying their weekend with a trip to the @Vamuseum to marvel all the regal finery in their latest #MarieAntoinetteStyle exhibition…

Meanwhile in Catland, felines can be just as fancy in Bark + Beyond client @Cheshireandwain Rococo collection, which is inspired by the lavish lifestyle of the French Queen. Extravagant in the most extra of ways, this covetable feline fashion collection combines sweetness and decadence in a series of luxury leather collars, collar adornments of beautiful bows and sparkling charms, as well as premium catnip. Shop all the best in feline finery at CHESHIREANDWAIN.COM now.

Totally ahead of the zeitgeist, Cheshire & Wain did this shoot a few years back. We can’t take any credit for the sheer brilliance of this shoot - I mean Penelope in a wig 👌- but dreaming up creative ‘things’ are some of the many ways we have had a wonderful nine years supporting Sonja @ Cheshireandwain. Never work, never a chore, always fun! Amazing photos as ever by the wonderful @racheloates 📷📷📷
