It might feel like it sometimes, especially in the hard moments, but our kids are not purposefully trying to trigger us. ❤️

In this Real Mom Moment, Ashlee and Rachel share how overwhelming it can be for children to grow up in a world that is constantly busy, loud and moving fast.

Maybe this is our reminder to slow down a little, see the world through their eyes and enjoy the moments alongside them instead of always rushing through them.

🤍In this Real Mom Moment, Rachel and Ashlee talk about what it looks like to guide their kids through friendship. Teaching them how to be a good friend, how to give grace and how to receive it when they mess up. Because the truth is, not every friend will meet every need and that’s okay – it’s an opportunity to grow.

In this heartwarming Real Mom Moment, Ashlee shares about her mother-daughter journal. It’s a way to keep the lines of communication open with her daughters and gives them a space to express themselves when talking might feel hard.

It’s also a beautiful way to capture these moments and create a keepsake for the future.

In this Real Mom Moment, Rachel and Ashlee share one simple question that can shift how you respond when your child’s behavior feels triggering: “What is the goal?”

Asking this can help move you from reacting in anger to getting curious about what’s really happening in the moment.

New adventures. Real disappointment. Big feelings.
In this Real Mom Moment, Rachel and Ashlee share how meaningful song lyrics became anchors for their kids in tough moments.

Music has a way of giving our kids language for what they’re feeling and reminding them they’re braver than they think.

What if being a great mom isn’t about doing it all but about building a village?

In this Real Mom Moment, Ashlee and Rachel unpack what it means to step into a “villager” mindset. Showing up imperfectly, asking for help and creating real community.

When our kids see us give and receive support, they learn that helping others isn’t weakness, it’s strength.

Ashlee’s passion for gardening led her to start a garden club at her kids’ school. Rachel’s passion for photography and social media helps spread the word.

When we use our unique gifts, we create spaces where everyone can grow.

In this Real Mom Moment, Rachel and Ashlee share a song that’s been a game changer in their homes and honestly, for them as adults too. The song, written by Mama Nous, gives language to something we all need practice with. We all have that running list of tasks we don’t feel like doing. The things we procrastinate. The things that feel hard. But here’s the shift – when we do the hard thing, we say it out loud. “I did something hard.” “I’m proud of myself.”

It’s simple. It’s powerful. And it’s a habit worth building for our kids and for us. Because confidence isn’t built from avoiding hard things. It’s built from finishing them.
