It has always been a dream to do Avenue Q but doing it with such an incredible group of people is more than I could have ever hoped for. Thank you to @chriskingcreative for this amazing opportunity, the brilliant musical direction of @arielleballance, the amazing team behind the scenes, the lovely and insanely talented cast (including the love of my life @dubsteck who is such a star ⭐️ ) and of course all of the amazing audiences who came out to @metrotheatre to see us!

If you missed us this time, or just wanted to come and see it again, we will be back in 2027 so get your tickets now before it sells out (again)!

Everything in Life is Only For Now🧡

It’s so difficult to explain how meaningful living on Avenue Q has been these past few months. So much laughter. So much joy. So much good challenge. So much mental and physical pain from those lovely puppets. The most kind and stupid-talented cast. The most supportive creative team. And what a first show to do in Canada! No notes, no complaints, no what ifs. Just joyous as f**k!!

So excited to do it all again Summer 2027…

Give a warm welcome to Rachel Scheibel, who is taking over our socials today! You may know her as a Bad Idea Bear… but this is one of the best ideas we’ve had. 👀🐻

Rachel also plays Mrs. T and is part of our Avenue Q Ensemble.

Stay tuned!

Rachel could not be more excited to be returning to Metro Theatre in her ultimate dream show! As a Jim Henson super-fan, she is having the time of her life as a puppeteer. Past Metro credits include: Enid in Legally Blonde and Gad in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Other theatre credits include: Sharpay in High School Musical, Babette in Beauty and the Beast (Align Entertainment); Cinderella in Into the Woods in Concert, Disciple in Godspell (Play On Words); School of Rock, 42nd Street (TUTS). Rachel holds a diploma in Musical Theatre from Capilano University. See less

Legally Blonde

I had a full on blast working on such a high energy show. Starting the rehearsal process with the Choreo of Whipped Into Shape set the bar of how crazy the whole show was gonna be. From having up to 7 key changes per song, playing the snare drum in the middle of a choreo to then do a quick change in less than 30 seconds or learning how to Irish dance, every second of this show was incredibly fun to be in

And the while time all these shenanigans were happening, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by an incredibly talented group of people who made me laugh, helped me catch up when I was behind, made me go for run for the first time ever and matched my unhinged humor, all while performing the songs and choreography with such heart and energy that overall made the show and extraordinary experiences for me. Love you all :)

And a final thank you to the team at @metrotheatre for once again opening the doors for me. Being the place where I am honoured to say I participated in my first ever production outside of my home country, I always will be delighted to come back as this place has a big place in my heart. Thank you for trusting me one more time.

You’ll laugh. You might cry. You’ll definitely question some of your life choices. Welcome to AVENUE Q ⚠️

The puppets are emotionally inept, adulthood is a scam, and tickets are selling FAST.

Come find your purpose… or at least have a drink while you figure it out.

Avenue Q runs until Oct 10
