Making kids’ hospital stays a little bit brighter!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hello Racing Friends!
It’s that time of year once again!

Our annual Racing For Kids Fan Appreciation Hot Laps event (in conjunction with the BMW Trillium Car Club) will be taking place this coming weekend from Friday October 23rd to Sunday October 25th.

This is your chance to experience the legendary CTMP circuit riding shotgun with Peter in the @racingforkids Subaru BRZ! If you would like to go for a ride, come out to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (aka Mosport) on any of the days mentioned above.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

It would be greatly appreciated if you could let Peter know which day you plan on attending so we have an idea of the numbers to expect and to help with the ride scheduling so no one is disappointed. This is important as we do not have infinite track time access as we are sharing the track with the BMW School. So PLEASE let @vanpeterhanson know by sending him a DM. Also, if you own a helmet be sure to bring it with you. We will also have helmets on hand to loan for those who don’t.

Thanks!
Look forward to seeing you out there! 🏁

Well folks, that’s a wrap on another SPC Season. Like any race season there are highs and lows and we had our share of both. We continue to head in the right direction and we made some positive strides with our program but ultimately fell short of where we want to be. We closed the season with a podium finish in the final race (P3) and finished the season 3rd overall in the 2026 SPC Production Class Championship with a 79 points improvement over our 2025 result.

Time for some well deserved downtime and then we’ll reset and start planning for next season. We’ll look at how and where we can be better so we can reach our ultimate goal.

Congratulations to @zack_lalonde_racing and the @fawngroupmotorsports team on their back to back SPC Production Class Championships. Truly a tremendous achievement in such a competitive field 👏🏻

Onward and upward 🏁

What an amazing weekend at Circuit Mont-Tremblant! Is there a more beautiful track to visit in all of Canada this time of year? I don’t think so.

Merci to all the wonderful fans and families that came to visit @vanpeterhanson and the @mdautosport team. To say the @racingforkids swag was a hit would be the understatement of the weekend. We gave away every last piece of swag we had left! The free swag was so popular that by Sunday afternoon it was near impossible not to spot a Racing For Kids hat or shirt on a fan. I think the highlight of the weekend was when the lovely lady who manages the pit exit area of the track took the time to personally thank us and Racing For Kids for “what you all do for the kids with giving them those wonderful shirts, hats and the stickers you have them sign for your race car. They’re the future of racing and it’s so great to see people like you thinking of them and doing things that make them so happy and a part of the racing community……it’s absolutely amazing!” 🥰

Race Week is finally here! It’s been a long break as we enjoyed an extended downtime between rounds 4 & 5 of the season schedule. The time off was welcomed but now it’s time to get back to work. This week @vanpeterhanson will bring the @mdautosport prepared @racingforkids Subaru BRZ to the picturesque Circuit Mont-Tremblant Fall Classic as we return here for the second time to partake in the @spcseries Season Finale where the 2026 Production Class Championship will be decided. Only 66pts covers the Top 3 and with plenty of points available in the remaining three races, Peter is still very much in the hunt.

Let’s do this! 🏁

@racingforkids is a Detroit-based national charity that uses the popularity of motorsports to focus public awareness and funding on the health care needs of children.

I was pleased to stop by for their visit at @hollandbloorview where they donated $30,000 to support Holland Bloorview's Together We Dare campaign and brought out their race cars for the kids to see and interact with.
