We had a busy weekend ! 🎣💙 What an AMAZING day! 💙🎣 On Saturday, some of our CCSD SEPTO students, family, and friends had the opportunity to attend a wonderful fishing derby hosted by Councilman Robert Kearns — and what an incredible experience it was for our kiddos! A HUGE thank you to the Putnam Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs for providing all of the fishing gear. 🎣 Our kiddos received their very own gear, were taught how to fish one on one, and even got to take everything home so they can continue fishing and practicing their new skills! 💙 The guidance, care, and special needs interaction was amazing. A very special thank you to Rack and Reels for the awesome gear and even more importantly, for sharing your time and knowledge with our kiddos. Your incredibly knowledgeable staff and family were so patient, welcoming, and helpful as they taught everyone how to fish! 🐟 Thank you, Councilman Kearns, for thinking of our special needs community, including CCSD SEPTO, and creating an opportunity where our kiddos could learn something new, have fun, and feel included. This is what inclusion and community looks like. We are better together 💙 We are so grateful to everyone who made this day possible. Memeories were made together.

The Third Annual Councilman Kearns Fishing Clinic was a HUGE success! 50 new young anglers received brand-new fishing poles, tackle boxes, gear, and everything they needed to get out there and start fishing! A lot of fish were caught, even more smiles were shared, and hopefully we helped spark a lifelong love for fishing and the outdoors for these kids. A huge thank you to the Putnam Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs for their continued partnership and all the work they put into making this event possible. I couldn’t do it without them! We’re already looking forward to next year’s event. Get outside. Get fishing!

Spent a couple days offshore in Maine with the boys chasing fish, sharks, and squid. Took them nearly 100 miles offshore, and they handled it like absolute champs. We slammed the fish, made some incredible memories, and had one hell of an adventure.

Grant and I hit the high seas this morning in pursuit of marlin and tuna. Unfortunately, about 40 miles offshore, the weather had other plans. An unexpected storm rolled in, bringing heavy thunderstorms and 8–10-foot swells. Things got a little dicey, but Grant never ceases to amaze me. He stayed calm, handled it like a champ, and never complained. We decided to head back closer to shore, where we absolutely slammed the sea bass and flounder. It made for an incredible dinner tonight, but more importantly, it gave us a core memory we’ll never forget.

New Pfluegger Monarch bait cast Combo review in the works. I used to hate bait casters, could never keep them from becoming a total mess and waste of time. The mechanics on these are a pleasure to use. No birds nest, no speed spooling out of control. I’ll post the full videos after I edit. @rackandreelsoutdoors come and get yourself one.
