Such a wonderful piece by @beyondbeurreblanc, published on @racket_mn. It made me smile reading her story about being the first one in line at three of our pop-ups. Thank you for sharing your experience with ratio and for such a thoughtful write-up. It means so much to us.

Huge thanks to @racket_mn and to @chefaz for calling this merger what it is: a rotten deal for independent restaurants. Comparison shopping between Sysco and Restaurant Depot isn’t rare, that’s a “fantasy” Sysco is asking the FTC to believe.

We need your help to prove that you comparison shop. If you’ve got an order guide, price comparison sheet, or even a text to your kitchen manager showing you check both Sysco and Restaurant Depot, send it our way right now. Anonymous is fine, we just need your zip code and business type.

The deadline is TOMORROW, Wednesday 9/30.

1 year ago today, my life changed.

I couldn’t find anything to wear to the @walkerartcenter Avante Garden focused on Play last year. My sorority sister @laureninfocus suggested, I consider making something because I was stressing everybody out 😂😉.

Seven hours later, I had drawn two poems I’d written about being a crayon as a Black Woman, one on the front and one on the back, completely in crayons. I even made a crayon crown, which I still have the scars from. 😂

That night led to me being interviewed by @racket_mn and eventually inspired the name Crayon Spill 🖍️

Since then, I’ve I made it a practice of spilling my heart onto the page through poetry, photography, digital art, and writing.

Who would’ve thought that not being able to find something that embodied my full personality would lead me to create the very thing I needed.

Here is a reminder to trust the process, even when it feels clunky, weird, and makes absolutely no sense yet.

More than 2,000 people gathered at Brackett Park Saturday evening for LIFTOFF!! - a special one-night lighting event focused on the iconic Brackett Park Rocket, presented in partnership with the @midtowngreenway and Greenway Glow Bike Ride and Arts Festival. It was a space themed, family friendly, community building public art event produced by artist @jackbecker54 and @36th.art. Attendees got to meet St Paul native @astrodigger who piloted the Space Shuttle Columbia on the STS-108 Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission on March 1, 2002.

It was out of this world. 👩🏼‍🚀🚀🌏
