Is sharing a long read‭‭🫠

Psalms‬ ‭139:16‬ ‭TPT‬‬
You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.

Dear God,
I've spent time racking my brain on how to explain what #TheGodYear means. You alone know all the details of how hard I have tried to be as You'd have me be, and how I have not been totally successful at it.

Like a puzzle, I was trying to fit life together piece by piece. By myself. Without having any idea of what the image should look like. I was making a huge mess. Yes, the pieces stayed together, but it had no meaning. Then one day, I asked again, "what would You have me do". And you said "I alone know the plans I have for you. They are good and with an expected end"

I never liked hearing You say that. I didn't really know what it meant. But this time around, You added that if I would only trust you, then I'd see that expected end. It has not been entirely easy, but I know that by You all things are made perfect.

A few months ago that You said to me, "if you'd choose Me (You, God) everytime, you can never be wrong". In that instant, there was no debate as to the validity of that statement. I just made the resolution to choose You now and always. Just You.

I have struggled with trying to adjust to this one task of choosing You always, but I am so glad for Your help. It has taken stripping myself of all the validation mechanisms I created and deciding to stick to only You. Waiting on you for instructions, counsel, direction, and even approval. Not easy, but it's worth it in every way.

I made just one resolution for the year -to only do whatever You said. It seemed very unreasonable to not have "a plan", but I am glad You have not left me clueless. Together, we have been taking life piece by piece.

As I prayed into the new year, without mincing words, You said "This is MY year". It was not a loud voice or anything grand. It was just a knowing that You put in my heart.
It's a year of surrender.
It's not just a year for God. It's for an entire lifetime.
It's not just the God year. It's the God life🫰🏾
