10.07.2026 | BADASSERY, LISBON 🇨🇻❤️🇵🇹
Some moments are impossible to put into words.
Last Friday, CaboVerdeVinyl arrived in Lisbon for the very first time. And not just anywhere. On the very spot where the legendary Bana once created a home for music from CaboVerde. To stand there, surrounded by our people, felt surreal. It felt like history meeting the present.
As someone who grew up with CaboVerde records spinning in my father’s house in Rotterdam, bringing CaboVerdeVinyl to this place felt like a full-circle moment. A reminder that music carries memories across generations, across oceans, and always finds its way back home.
The love in the room was overwhelming. Every conversation, every dance, every smile reminded me why CaboVerdeVinyl exists. This has never only been about playing records. It’s about honoring the people who came before us and creating new memories for those who come after us.
My deepest gratitude to everyone who made this night so special.
