Epic day at @radiona_org with a morning forage in the rain and a long afternoon wonderful workshop with such engaged and interesting people. There were many successes. Complex joints, kinetic structures, new construction methods, a reckoning with nature. I think it might be a healthy thing for everyone to "Face Nature." Infinite thank you to the intrepid @deborah_hustic for this amazing opportunity and support. Big thanks to Zvone for tech support. Wonderful to have regular participants over the last years, including @pdgmarina and @underachiever_inc . Thanks to my students at @bcarchitecture for great zoom sessions. Back to NYC. Think about the forests burning around the world and vote to save them ❤️ Thanks Zagreb!

Workshop with @microresearchxx at @radiona_org . Fantastic. We made throats and connected them to a microphone and played the sounds emerging from electronic heads. Martin also brought a 3-D pinched throat to which he adhered crystals. Some reminder of some of the original throats in my book Alive.

PhishNoise, a wonderful workshop at @radiona_org with Uwe Schüeler and @poor_montage . Uwe devised this synthesizer in a fish tin. These workshops are amazing and lots of work. They arrive with all the components pre-drilled, pre-labeled, with all the little resistors and parts. We follow a diagram and solder them together. Then we get to play. I chose a herring fish tin. I would like to get a mixer. I feel lucky to have arrived when three great workshops have been scheduled back to back.

Amazing electronic tin can kalimba workshop with @poor_montage and Uwe Schüler at @radiona_org . Ralf made a beautiful and elegant prototype, a kit, and instructions. We soldered the circuit, installed the motor and wires and then had a little recording session with Uwe using the mixing board. I made a little face nature. Tonight Uwe has a workshop with Ralf. I give a talk on Friday night about my new book and other things, and my workshop is next Saturday afternoon.

Muzej bez prepreka – „Svijet kukaca“ Gradskog muzeja Varaždin sada je još pristupačniji slijepim i slabovidnim osobama. 🦋

Verbalni opisi posjetitelje vode kroz istraživanje taktilnih prikaza i riječima prenose informacije o obliku, veličini, boji, teksturi i prostornim odnosima.

Željke Bosnar Salihagić i mr. sc. Željke Sušić, voditeljica udruge Assist Lab - Radiona, i tvrtke Terriero j.d.o.o., uz stručno sudjelovanje kustosa Prirodoslovnog odjela GMV-a dr. sc. Mišela Jelića. Program je sufinanciran sredstvima Ministarstva kulture i medija.

Ovim korakom nastavljamo graditi muzej bez prepreka – mjesto u kojem su znanje, istraživanje i doživljaj dostupni svima. 💙
