We chose @radishmoon ‘Tortoise’ in Eucalyptus for the ‘Wiley Bench’ by @kendallwilkinsondesign for @iatestastudio on display in our NY showroom.

The 100% linen/natural is a hand illustrated ink and watercolor design printed in the US.

Radish Moon Textiles was created by illustrator and textile artist Sarah Nicholas Williams. The collection pays tribute to the flora and fauna of her creative landscapes. Her original patterns are rooted in the natural world, but emerge in the fantastical.

The Wiley Bench embodies modern sophistication and subtle luxury with a graceful, curved upholstered seat resting on meticulously leather-wrapped wood legs and a stretcher.

Five bedrooms, each with a personality of its own. Throughout this home, we played with pattern and color in different ways. Sometimes bold and playful, other times soft and serene.

The primary bedroom was designed to feel like a true retreat, with a quieter palette and layers of texture. In the other bedrooms, we had a little more fun with patterned walls, unexpected color combinations, and beautiful millwork details that give the bunk room and guest spaces their own distinct character. We love that pattern and color don’t have to mean one thing. They can be energetic and whimsical or incredibly calming. It all comes down to how you layer them.

Here we are looking in to the lively kitchen through from the dining room that is wrapped in a custom chinoiserie wallpaper that I had custom designed. It features our clients favorite flora and fauna from the Texas region and is set on a sherbet-y ground which compliments the soft pink color of the cabinets.

We used a number of antiques and family heirlooms as well as our clients personal collection of art and objet throughout this home. Finding places for them was such a fun part of styling this project. From the dinnerware collection handed down from our clients grandmother that now decorates the kitchen hood, to the beautiful hand painted ceramic vase on the antique chest. This project is personal and collected.

Originally published in the Dallas Morning News @dmn_abode section, this restored Georgian was saved by our preservation minded clients. These buildings are truly special and with the right team, these old homes can be reimagined thoughtfully for the next generation.
