The other day I had the pleasure of attending an online zoom baking event with @chefjoanneweir and @valleyfig. We all baked along as Joanne Weir taught us how to bake Panaforte which literally means, Strong Bread... Panaforte is a traditional Italian Dessert which originated in Siena, Italy with fruit and nuts, aromatic baking spices and dusted with Confectioners Sugar to finish. For this recipe I used Mission Figlets from Orchard Choice @valleyfig and Toasted Hazelnuts from @oregonhazelnuts. David and I love this dessert, we had a sliver for dessert with Cognac and this morning will be enjoying a slice for breakfast with our coffee. I now plan on making this a yearly holiday tradition, this really provided a sense of festive cheer during this crazy time. Thank you @valleyfig and @chefjoanneweir for this wonderful class, the ingredient box and the gift of learning. It was also a treat to see familiar faces and meet a few new ones, have a Happy Holiday Season!!
