One thing about me I love showing my clients appreciation. 💕

Today I spent some time putting together little affirmation and self-care goodies for the amazing people who continue to trust me with their waxing journey. Every appointment, every referral, every conversation, and every bit of support means more to me than you know.

I also included a few business cards from @raetheesthi Rae Shelton, a licensed esthetician here in Denver. We exchanged information a while back, and I’m still sharing the resources she generously provided because I believe there’s room for all of us to grow, support one another, and help our clients connect with great beauty professionals. ✨

𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗶𝗱𝘀 are very useful in the treatment of many skin conditions & as derms we use them a lot for various ailments BUT they have to be used for the ✔️right condition, ✔️dosage & ✔️frequency. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 application can lead to numerous adverse effects including immune suppression leading to not only skin thinning & stretch marks but also immune suppression leading to skin infections. ⁣
⁣
Unfortunately many bleaching creams contain steroids in high dosages which are not suitable for long term use seen in skin bleachers.⁣
⁣
𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Whether induced by steroids or weight gain, stretch marks are difficult to treat & there is no cure. However, depending on how advanced or old the stretch marks are, treatments like: ⁣
✔️Micro-needling ⁣
✔️Dermabrasion ⁣
✔️PRP⁣
✔️Laser therapy ⁣
can help improve the appearance. More on this in my next post about the different types of stretch marks. ⁣
