CARA turns four today! 🎂 Four years of exhibitions, books, fellowships, and gathering around artists and their work. “I can’t believe it’s been four years. Working alongside artists, seeing ideas take shape, and building CARA with such a committed team has been a joy. I’m grateful to our community and everyone who has believed in this space and helped make it possible. There is so much ahead, and I’m excited for what we’ll build together.” —Manuela Moscoso, Executive & Artistic Director A special toast to Neo Muyanga and Marilyn Nance, our companions in opening CARA four years ago, and to CARA’s team, our founder and Board Chair Jane Hait, and our Board of Directors for making it all possible! Come celebrate with us! Our doors are open. @marilyn.nance @jrh2020 @manu_moscoso

DIVINE RETREAT MAINE 2026 - A MUCH NEEDED BREAK FROM THE NOISE 🩷 THANK YOUUUU @publicassistants @eurekapressny @mskrissylou for having me back. Truly lovely to be together in this way ✨ I spent most of my energy enjoying the sound of the leaves and the flavors of the food and the tones of the laughs around me so these snapshots, I feel, don’t even fully capture how much I loved these 11 days away 🌞

BIG thank you to @ann3hero for having me be apart of this beautiful art show!!! the attendance and the amount of friends that came to support blew me away… not only that but i got to meet some of you face to face for the first time!! shout out to @ilovenoiseee for holding down the door and providing photos! i heard we lost count at 130 people… Anne has been one of my inspirations for many many years and I always love seeing the amount of dedication and work she puts into not only her craft but also making sure art is seen everywhere! the last few slides are a little bit of bts of us setting up the night before… the fact that everyone was able to pull this off in 2 weeks is also incredible — feeling very privileged to work alongside my peers in this way… i think that if you’re an art student or freshly graduated, /please/ stay in contact with people from college if you’re able. put on art shows together, make your work seen. photos by: @ilovenoiseee @ann3hero @jeweldj4u @xfilestheme.mp3 @rafiasworld

MagicWand is a wireless (UDP-based) connected device that takes control over computer cursor. MagicWand transfers computer-native movement such as mouse position into an embodied one. It uses Arduino Nano 33 IoT’s built-in IMU module to approximate mouse location on the computer screen. In this demo, we show a use case where MagicWand can be used to play a beat game. User swings the MagicWand towards the beat and scores some magic when it hits in time. The user is also taken on a funky journey in an immersive environment that shows the sequence of street map. Special thanks to @antez2000, Tom Igoe, Connected Devices classmates, friends who made all the songs on MagicBeats @ezeta.xyz @rafiasworld @jqh_isaname @abvi.io @yonzzy @stay.c___ , friends who take MagicWand into parties, @nikihu_dan for dancing on the beat, @kurt_qianmuyi @phantazn @syncture00, @370jmediacommons and everyone from @itp_nyu ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟
