Wasted Space was founded by Daragh Twomey & Steve Collins back in 2011 and in 2016, they called it a day after 2 EPs and a rake of gigs across Ireland under their belt.

In 2024, the band re-emerged from their hibernation, with Andy McGrath joining on vocals and Joe Clarke on drums. And now after the release of their new EP, "Discourse" earlier this year they are back and ready to bring the noise to Fred Zeppelins!

Thursday October 8th / 8pm / FREE

Hailing from Cork, Mechner is an act drenched in melancholic melody and introspective lyrics, often clawing at the darker sides of the human experience, though not without a romantic edge. some would describe the sounds as cinematic. Mechner has an impressive mix of a huge voice which sits atop guitars that range from Pixies loud to The Smiths jangle. Listen for sounds like Jeff Buckley and Radiohead, while looking at acts closer to home like Whipping Boy and Rory Gallagher.

Joined on the night by 3 acts who are no strangers to the stage; The Slugs, Stardog and Go Like This and admission is free.

🚨OUTSOUND🚨
With support from Go Like This and Small Town Politics
Friday October 9th / 9pm / €7.50 ADV / €10 OTD

Outsound are a 4-piece progressive rock outfit hailing from Cork, Ireland and no strangers to Fred Zeppelins. They released their second album, "Ouroboros" earlier this year - pure adrenaline from one of Ireland's most exciting new rock acts - all bite, no filler. Crunching riffs, pounding drums, and choruses that hit like a live crowd singalong.

Joining them is none other than Go Like This and Small Town Politics 💥
