Master Glassblower in Charlottesville, VA🔥

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This week’s featured artist is Gabby Kerson of Raging Buffalo Glass. 🔥

Gabby started blowing glass at 16 years old in Waterbury, Vermont. She returned to Charlottesville in 2023 and now works out of @ragingbuffaloglass located at Stufio 7 at @mcguffeyartcenter

Using multiple techniques and layers of color, Gabby creates glasswork with a remarkable sense of depth, where color, form and light all become part of the piece. These beautiful vases are just a few examples of her work.

Gabby is one of several gifted glassblowers at Raging Buffalo, whose work we’re proud to feature at the gallery. Their Charlottesville studio also welcomes the community with glassblowing classes and hands-on experiences.

Come see Gabby’s work in person at the gallery, and follow @gabby_glasses and @ragingbuffaloglass to see more of the incredible work coming out of their studio, plus updates on classes and hands-on experiences.

our furnace had an issue last night... the worst case scenario. fortunately we've programmed our controller software to test processes and remediate. a hard reset got things going again around midnight and let me sleep in so i can go in later and see what's going on... woke up this morning to some cute notifications... hell yeah. also built features to see how fast the kilns heat at different temperatures and testing open source sms with ntfy

Weekend vibes in Charlottesville!
Before you head out, don’t forget to double-check event details — weather and last-minute changes happen! ☀️📍

The best part? So many local wineries + breweries offer free live music (no purchase needed!). 🍷🎶
Pack a picnic 🧺, bring a ball ⚽️, and let the kids explore — there’s plenty of room to play, relax, and soak up the views.

Enjoy your day, Cville! 💛✨
