UNRAVEL Look we're not doing this, We're not taking hold of this thread and unraveling in desperation to find, to grasp, to somehow hold on to the who and why they did what they did, how it hurts even years after, when it hasn't come up to mind for months, It's six in the morning for goodness' sake, How can the first thought when the light first hit my eyes, Be how the burn behind them was the same as the times I cried? How can a morning start so profoundly painful that I know if I start to go down this lane, My soul will become a ball of yarn, soft and ready to unravel under this pain, Does it matter though? Does it matter who hurts, why it hurts, and how it hurts me? I cannot begin to explain the complex emotions that source and spin and bubble inside, I hate him, I hate him not, I cast my flowers over the bridge, dry-eyed, because the only way to figure out what is in the deep lines of my veins, Is to sit and pull a thread from the ball of yarn and simply, Unravel. But we're not doing this. Miriel Oye Fresh off the brain. Hehehehe. I have missed posting my write ups. How have you guys been?😩 #poetry #prosepoetry #human #writing #writersofinstagram #deepquotes #deepthoughts

I AM A DREAMER They always said I was all talk, Like waves that crash on an empty shore, They say, "All words without the fortress of action, They fall away like a castle built of brittle sticks and ashes," -But this is my castle, Of lies and fire and love and war, Of hate that towers behind closed doors, Of visions and sights that seers see, Of mountains and Heights that dreamers dream, I am a Dreamer, I draw out plans that look good on paper, And light them up, I scribble the tales of a thousand men, And forget them, I make promises without a word on my tongue, a sound of my lips, Perhaps I hide- -But this is my castle, Of hopes, raised so high, they fall from the sky, Of a past so bleak, it withers to ice, Of a child so lost, she grew up too fast, Of a woman who seeks for souls to last. I am a Dreamer. Miriel Oye 🀭 It has been a while, hasn't it?
