Still wrapping my head around this one, a new PR at today’s Santa Barbara Half Marathon: 1:32:31, shaving a solid two plus minutes off my previous best. 🤯

The early morning runs suck, threshold workouts can be the worst, and long runs test every bit of your nerves, but nothing compares to that endorphin rush when looking down at the watch in the final stretch and realizing it’s gonna happen. Trust the training!

This race also marks the first time I’ve worked with a run coach, and what a difference. Huge shout-out to @evanlcovell and @teamrunrun for the wisdom and constant push to stay accountable. If you’ve ever thought about working with a coach, I did everything virtually with him and it worked like a charm, 10/10 would recommend. Couldn’t have hit this milestone w/o you!

And big thanks to @raim_bows for the tour de force of Santa Barbara and my cheer squad at the finish line! ❤️
