better late than never! can’t talk about leaving CMU without talking about @cmu_idt

thank you for being my first step into campus involvement and for giving me a place to belong before I knew where I fit. thank you for helping me fall in love with dance again, for giving me the opportunity to create and share choreography, and for reminding me why I started dancing in the first place!

thank you for the rehearsals, performances, inside jokes, road trips, midnight eboard meetings, and all of the people who became lifelong friends along the way. thank you for being an escape when everything else felt overwhelming!

three years, countless memories, and a team that will always mean so much to me. live laugh love idt!💟 #retirement

my love letter to fall semester!

my first semester of college is done. i moved across the country to go to school in michigan and although it was the scariest thing i've ever done, i don't regret it for a second. my first fall semester has brought me so much love. i danced a lot. i cried a lot. i laughed a lot more. i think i felt every human emotion in the span of three months. proud of myself for trying new things. homesickness for a place that isn't home anymore. exhaustion. anxiety. joy. this semester taught me how to be human.

this semester also presented the incredible opportunity to dance on infusion dance team. i am so grateful i decided to audition back in september because WOW. these girls are some of the most talented, hardworking, kind girls i have ever met. they have given me so much grace on my bad days and so much fun on my good days. i have become a better person and dancer just by being around these girls. i am so grateful i was selected because being on idt really made my semester. i have truly fallen back in love with dance. i also had the opportunity to choreograph in two whole group pieces this semester (jazz funk and hip hop, two styles i have never choreographed in)! i had the time of my life choreographing and teaching and i cannot wait to get to do it some more.

this caption would be way too long if i thanked every single person individually, so i'm just going to say this: to everyone i met this semester, i am so thankful for you and i cannot wait to continue this silly thing called college with you. i love you so!
