We thought we were getting a dog. We got a whole new way of life.

Our puppy gave us a reason to slow down and a reason to get outside. More laughter in our home. More adventure in our days. More play, presence, and curiosity.

We got someone to care for, learn alongside, make memories with, and love in a way we couldn’t fully understand until she was here.

Daisy has made our home happier, our ordinary days more meaningful, and our entire life sweeter.

And somehow, we’re only at the beginning.

Today is National Dog Day, but in our home, we celebrate each day we spend together.

Happy National Dog Day to the dogs who turn houses into homes, routines into rituals, and simple moments into memories. 🤎

What’s something your dog brought into your life that you never expected?

It’s been one magical month into life with Daisy, and somehow our entire world already feels different.

Our puppy has brought more laughter into our home, more adventure into our days, more presence into the ordinary, and more reasons to celebrate everything big and small.

An afternoon walk becomes exciting.
A car ride becomes an adventure.
A new toy becomes a discovery.

And this sweet moment holding my baby girl in my arms becomes one I already know I’ll treasure forever.

Watching Daisy experience the world for the first time has changed the way I experience it too. Everything feels brighter, meaningful, and more magical when we get to discover it together.

We’re approaching our puppy’s three-month birthday, and while she’s growing right before our eyes, so is our life together.

One month of Daisy.
Hundreds of little moments.
Millions of discoveries still ahead.

What’s one way your pet has made your everyday life sweeter? 🤎

Technically... we DID have our ducks in a row.
For approximately five seconds.

One of my favorite parts of puppyhood is discovering that almost anything can become a game. I line up Daisy’s ducks one by one, and our playful girl immediately decides her job is to retrieve them just as quickly as I can put them down.

I add one.
Daisy takes one.
I straighten the row.
Daisy adjusts accordingly.

We keep going completely entertained by this little game we’ve created together. And even though our vision for playing wasn’t aligned, everything lined up perfectly.

Her ducks have been part of our story since Gotcha Day, and watching how many different ways Daisy finds to play with her stuffed animals makes these ordinary afternoons some of my favorite memories.

Do you feel like you have everything lined up in your life?

100 little moments and millions of new discoveries.
A nap.
A walk.
A toy.
A cuddle.
A car ride.
A store adventure.
A backyard.
A bath.

And now... Another sweet moment with my favorite girl, right where she belongs in my arms. Together, these ordinary days have become one beautiful story.

Thank you for being here for one moment or for all one hundred posts. Our story continues to bloom as Daisy grows each day. 🌼💛🌼
