📢 Volunteer Spotlight: Sarah W. 📢

This month, we’re proud to spotlight one of our incredible Iowa advocates, who recently celebrated 13 years since her cancer diagnosis at age 16.

Sarah’s journey as a young cancer survivor has shaped the way she sees life, reminding her daily that every moment is precious. Reflecting on this milestone, she shared:

“If cancer at 16 taught me one thing, it’s that life is precious and you have to live every moment to the fullest. Have fun with your life. Love those around you. Tell each other you love each other. Cherish the small things. Do things that make you scared. Try new things. Just live.”

Today, she uses her experience to advocate for cancer patients, survivors, and families, helping ensure decision makers understand the real impact of cancer and the policies that can improve lives.

Thank you for sharing your story, inspiring others, and reminding us all to celebrate every day we’re given. Here’s to 13 years and many more milestones ahead.

CHROMATIC CIRCUS ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩷 A high-contrast spectacle of saturated reds, vivid spotlight yellows, and intense electric blues, accented by neon pops and deep teals to create a dizzying, theatrical, and playful atmosphere - like chaos choreographed into color 🌈
