CHAK!RA! - my character in HOLLYWOOD FRINGE, on location, near Sunset Junction. 💥. Where did the writer/creators Megan and Wyatt come up with this concept?! If I didn’t already love the script, this comedic climactic scene put it over the top for me. 💥 The scene was beautiful, awkward, ridiculous, wacky, heart-felt, sincere... our lead character, Samantha (Jennifer Prediger), driven by creative impulses, awkwardly attempts to address racism in her site-specific performance piece. She dresses her cast in these ridiculous Lycra suits. There is so much beauty in the creative community; we active creatives have innumerable obstacles to absorbing and processing our environment, and producing the content that is called art. Engagement is key. How do we all do this? Masters at improvisation, dreamers, heart-warriors, wacky absurdists... I see you all adapting, adjusting, rising again. And I love you for it. Here’s to the dreamers and makers! May we live and create for another day!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 hollywoodfringemovie #danceswithfilms #danceswithfilmsfestival #danceswithfilmsfestival2020 #dwfla #indiefilm #indiefilmmaker #indiefilmmaking #indiefilms #indiefilmhustle #filmhustle #filmmaking #filmlife #indycomedy #indiecomedy #calarts #blackcatgallery #jopr #janeowenpr #redmgmt #exclusivetalentmanagement

It’s mesmerizing, the quality of light as captured by the camera. When the lighting and cinematography alchemically transform into a beautiful, hyper-real image; separate from what your eyes capture in the same room.
