Tonka Beans, our Brazilian Cumaru seeds (Dipteryx odorata) are famous! In a very short time it is everywhere and it is just not more widespread because in the USA it is banned for internal consumption which makes no sense to me as 10 grams of nutmeg can be toxic but you buy it at the supermarket, when it comes to tonka you need at least 30 seeds to be in trouble.
What I love about the Tonka craze is that it really helps the forest and indigenous people. Different than Açaí - Tonka cannot be farmed, so people don't get ideas to destroy the forest to plant only cumaru, and it is not a super important food source for them, so the international market is only helping.
Cumaru used to be more known in the north of Brazil and it is also used for medicinal purposes there.
I carry amazing Tonka. But I am afraid I am down to my last 10 kg. I don't know if I will be able to get any more so go for it and get a little bag to try and infuse in your oils.

I spent a few hours making butter bars with my friend Jen who is visiting from Brazil. The best thing about butter bars is that it is like cooking, not baking, if you make a mistake you can re-melt and add more of whatever you think it needs until PERFECTION! 🥰 We got vegan bacuri+pracaxi bar and andiroba bar. A remake of my acai lip moisturizer/scrub with a bit of beeswax for summer and a Tucuma oil bar for those days you get a bit sunburned.

My first #texturetuesday IG. While shopping for butters at @rainforestchica, I also found some oils that work with oily/blemish skin.
12% Sacha Inchi Oil from @rainforestchica
12% Passion Fruit Oil from @rainforestchica
38% Hemp Oil
38% Tamanu Oil
This Tamanu oil has better quality and it is in dark green color. All of these oils are good for oily or blemish skin. They are rich in vitamin A, C and E. Hempseed oil and Tamanu oil are perfect based oils that help inflammation, hydrating, reduce stress and fast absorpton. Sacha Inchi oil is lightest and it is good to use on eye based on RainForestChica. I have enjoyed playing with these oils.

上次混油脂太好玩，我在RainForestChica 買油脂時看到了百香果油和印加果油（Sacha Inchi Oil）。再加上大麻籽油和塔馬努油（tamamu oil) 2款同樣易吸收，對痘痘，炎症肌，油皮補水很有功效。百香果油在那家網站説因為特薄，可以用在眼上。4款油混在一起有豐富維他命A，C， E。這次買的塔馬努油質量特好，是綠色的。塔馬努油的好處是知名的，對于敏感痘痘肌，單用也很好，比較另外3款油，塔馬努油比較厚一點點，加上大麻籽油，絕對可以互補不足。再説，我計了這2次油脂和油的成本，不便宜啊，所以特想支持那些用心又良心的小眾品牌。

“Concrete Jungle” goat’s milk soap. Scented with Basil and Japanese Peppermint Essential Oils for a minty, herbal, slightly camphorous scent, and colored with indigo powder and my new Açaí Berry Bio-scrub from @rainforestchica. It’s a very nice scrub, but it does add its own black color to the soap. It works perfectly here because I was going for the look of a rough chunk of concrete with a single rose bud growing on top. 😊🏙🌹 .

One more experiment with my new Brazilian supplies from @rainforestchica. This bright yellow color is from amazing Tucuma Oil at only 2%!! And even the lather is slightly yellow! The top half only has Açaí Seed Bio-Scrub added for exfoliation and color. Scented with Ylang-Ylang essential oil.😊💓🌿
