🇺🇸 Another Great Meeting with The Big Stick Detachment, of the Marine Corps League aboard the historic USS Iowa! ⚓️🇺🇸

Senior Vice Commandant Rudy Duarte did a flawless job running the meeting, and we had the opportunity to recognize two of our valued donors, Rain for Rent and Envent, with awards for their continued support of our Detachment.

We also recognized several of our members with certificates. It’s always important to take the time to recognize the people who continue to support our Detachment and help keep the traditions of the Marine Corps alive. 🦅⚔️

Grateful for the chance to stand before the Shafter Lions Club and share a few words. A special thank you to our sponsors for making the evening possible, to the community leaders and pastors who came up to pray over us, and to Jonathan Ranger for his testimony and worship — moments like these remind me why I love this town.

Agradecido por la oportunidad de estar frente al Club de Leones de Shafter y compartir unas palabras. 🔥 FLEET WEEK DAY 1: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED 🔥

What an incredible first day of Fleet Week! We showed up early, handled business, and did what we came to do. We proudly served FREE breakfast and lunch to active duty military, first responders, and the crew aboard the USS Iowa. Another successful day supporting those who serve our country.

The teamwork between The Big Stick Detachment and El Toro Detachment was absolutely tremendous. From feeding hundreds to crushing it in our 10x10 merchandise booth, everyone stepped up and delivered.

The evening wrapped up with an amazing VIP donor appreciation event, and we were honored to have National Executive Director Bob Borka fly in and see firsthand what The Big Stick and El Toro Detachments are accomplishing during Fleet Week. We’re proud to continue putting the Marine Corps League on the map by setting the standard for excellence when it comes to serving and supporting these major events.

This doesn’t happen without the hard work, dedication, and heart of every detachment member. Outstanding job by everyone involved.

Day 1 is in the books… now let’s run it back tomorrow. Day 2 let’s go!

🇺🇸 Marine Corps League The Big Stick Detachment 🇺🇸

What an outstanding night aboard the historic USS Iowa as the Marine Corps League came together for our meeting and an evening of recognition and camaraderie.

Tonight, we had the honor of presenting awards of recognition to one of our generous donors Rain for Rent and outstanding Marines individuals who continue to embody the values of honor, courage, and commitment. Your support and service make a real difference, not only to our detachment but to the community we proudly serve.

The Big Stick Detachment remains focused on growth, service, and giving back supporting Marines, veterans, first responders, Young Marines and our local community through action, not words. Nights like tonight remind us why we do what we do and reinforce the strength of our brotherhood and sisterhood.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and continues to stand with us. We’re just getting started the mission continues.
