🍂🚵 WHAT A DAY. THE FIRST WEBC LIBRO FALL CLASSIC! 🔥

Today was one of those days that really makes you stop and appreciate how far this community has come.

60 riders registered for our first-ever mountain bike race at the WEBC Libro Trails, with an incredible mix of riders… from elite racers to beginners, first-time racers, kids, women and riders simply wanting to challenge themselves and try something new.

And just as cool was seeing so many people come out simply to watch, cheer and support our local riders. 🔔👏

There were definitely a few “pinch me” moments walking around Libro today and seeing the trails packed with racers, volunteers, families and spectators having an absolute blast.

A few years ago, hosting an MTB race on our own trail network felt like a pipe dream for WEBC.

Today it was real. ❤️

But probably the coolest part wasn’t just seeing people having fun. It was seeing how many riders crossed that finish line genuinely proud of themselves.

People tried racing for the first time. They pushed themselves harder than they thought they could. They stepped outside their comfort zones… all in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment. 🙌👫

That is exactly why WEBC exists. To create opportunities and experiences like this for people in our community through cycling.

Huge thank you to everyone who raced, volunteered, cheered, helped prepare the course and made today possible.

I think everyone involved with WEBC should feel pretty proud tonight. 👍

The first Libro Fall Classic is officially in the books and there will be a lot more of this to come. 💪🚵🍂

As per usual… this community crushed it. 👊

🚧 More Jumpline Updates! 🚧

We weren’t quite done yet 🤘

After last week’s upgrades, we’ve been back at it making a few more tweaks and refinements to the Jumpline on “The Last Stand” trail in Phase 3.

The goal: better landings, more speed, and smoother flow from jump to jump 🔥

A little shaping can make a BIG difference and we’re always looking for ways to keep improving the riding experience at the WEBC Libro Trails.

Go give it a rip! 🚲💨

Two years ago, the Howell family @raisinghowells rolled into the WEBC Libro Centre Trails for the very first time.

Like so many families, they were simply looking to give mountain biking a try. 🚲

Fast forward to today, and mountain biking has become one of their greatest passions.

Countless laps at Libro. Hours spent riding together. Growing through our WEBC Youth program. Pushing each other to get a little better every ride.

Today, they’re proudly representing WEBC at downhill races at @horseshoebikepark , inspiring younger riders, and showing what’s possible when kids discover a sport they truly love.

To us, this is so much bigger than bikes.

It’s about getting kids outside.
Building confidence.
Creating friendships.
Strengthening families.
And helping young people discover a passion.

The Howell family’s story is incredible… but our hope is that it becomes one of many.

Here’s to the next generation of riders growing up right here in Windsor-Essex. ❤️🚵

🚨 WEBC’s Biggest Announcement Yet. 🚨

Today, we’re incredibly proud to share something we’ve been working toward for a long time…

WEBC has officially been awarded a $40,000 Capital Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation @ontrillium funded by the Government of Ontario. 🎉

This is one of the biggest milestones in WEBC’s history.

Just a few years ago, WEBC was simply a small group of passionate volunteers with a vision of creating more opportunities for people to ride bikes in Windsor-Essex.

Today, that vision has become something much bigger.

This investment, combined with the incredible support we’ve already received from our community, local businesses, sponsors, foundations, and donors, gives WEBC the resources to build a premier mountain bike Skills Park unlike anything our region has ever seen.

Together, we’re creating a destination that will introduce thousands of kids and families to mountain biking, provide a place for riders of every age and ability to safely progress their skills, and strengthen our free WEBC Youth Program for years to come.

This isn’t just about building jumps, berms, and features.

It’s about creating opportunities.
It’s about inspiring the next generation.
It’s about building a healthier, more connected community.

To everyone who has volunteered, donated, partnered with us, attended a trail day, brought your kids to WEBC Youth, or simply believed in what we’re building…

This achievement belongs to all of us.

Thank you to the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Government of Ontario for believing in our vision and investing in the future of cycling in Windsor-Essex.

The WEBC Skills Park is about to become a reality…

And we truly believe the best is still to come. 🤘🚵
