Today I came full circle in my journey with @raizcorp_ . I joined their Enterprise Supplier Development programme last year as a baby entrepreneur and today I feel like I’m leaving kindergarten with tears of joy streaming down my face. The simulation presentation was gruelling but a years worth of preparation kept me calm:

Oh, if my parents could see me now 🤍 🤍 I want to especially thank my kids 💖 💙 for their patience and always praying for the success of my business @plushlyplated because all of this really is for them 🩷 🩵 A new door 🚪 is opening and I’m excited to see what’s behind it 💡

The sky fell and I trembled but I now stand tall

Okay, so I guess I have to start talking about this now 😭

A little while ago, I got to be part of @nedbank @pitchandpolish with Fighters Club, and now that the episode is finally out, I can actually start sharing some of what that experience looked like.

So… let’s walk down memory lane together. Starting with day one: nerves, excitement, a LOT of learning, and absolutely no idea yet how much this experience was going to teach me.

There’s so much I want to unpack about the process, the feedback, the business, and what it taught me personally.

But for now, here’s where it started.

A week in the life of me, a festival organiser and Goosebumps maniac.

From strategy sessions and partner meetings to radio interviews, stage design, activations and everything in between.

A crazy week. A lot of moving parts. And a lot that never makes it to camera.

Here’s a look at the bigger moments.

And then… we built one hell of a party ShimzaandFriends to round off the week.

Congratulations to our very own Londiwe Nkosi! 🎓👏

Londiwe continues to be intentional in leading positive change, governance, and sustainable business solutions across Africa. Her graduation from the Raizcorp Scholarship Program (proudly funded by DSV) marks not just a milestone, but the continuation of purpose-led leadership that keeps shaping the work we do at We Navigate SA and beyond.

Here's to growth, grit, and impact that ripples far beyond the classroom. 🌍✨

And the R1 000 000 (R1 million) winner of Engen Pitch and Polish 2021 competition is,… GUDGU! (A lot like Shark Tank where you pitch your business to investors, only here we won R1m!) This prize changed GUDGU’s history forever. We could build a laboratory environment to manufacture our sugar free concentrates in and allowed us to get our ISO22000 food safety certification. This opened so many retail chain stores for us like Checkers, SPAR, Food Lover’s Market and many others. We have grown exponentially since then distributing to nearly 800 stores countrywide, and soon all South Africans and neighbouring countries will all have GUDGU in a store near them. Next project: the rest of the world! All this thanks to Raizecorp who taught is numbers and gave is a mini MBA course, Engen and Nedbank. @Pieter Du Plessis @Viljoen de Kock www.gudgu.co.za #GUDGU #Sugarfree #FREEDOM #LiveFullFlavour #ZEROaftertaste

So.. I went and did a thing! 👩🏽‍🎓

… never in my wildest dreams

..But GOD!

Second name, Favour! 🤍

Mr Allon Raiz, best selling author, entrepreneur and founder & CEO of Raizcorp, one of the biggest business incubators in the continent.

I felt like I was dreaming!

Delivering ‘The Best Entrepreneur Speech’.. haha, I was told to prepare one because they’d randomly select any entrepreneur to deliver a speech on how Raizcorp has been helpful to their business. I thought everyone was told 😂🥹

I was soooo nervous.. and still in shock!

… yes it did!!! My business was in shambles!

Ian Cooper, a seasoned entrepreneur, My Guide (Business Mentor). 🤍

Did the program with these amazing Entrepreneurs! Thandi, Brian and Vincent! So much love and respect in one picture.

Tendai, the man who taught us all!!! ✨🫶🏽

A room of over a 100 entrepreneurs running successful businesses.

Carrying precious cargo..

This was the hardest shot we captured. Not because of the camera… but because of what it revealed. A young entrepreneur arrived at a place built for opportunity, yet had to prove he belonged before anyone even looked at his business. We stood outside that gate and realized something painful — many South Africans are not failing because they lack ideas; they are failing because they are judged before they are heard. The Republic 100 is here to change that. We will walk into the places that make people feel invisible, and we will leave with their stories carried into the world. Because no dream should die at the gate.” 🎥
