The Best Curry In Birmingham

Smoked Gosht Kali Mirch At @rajamonkey is a thing of beauty. Giant husks of melt in the mouth meat slow-cooked until they surrender at the slightest nudge, drowning in a deep, smoky, pepper-laced sauce that clings to everything it touches. Rich. Spicy. Unapologetic. Proper next-level stuff

And somehow… the mains nearly made me forget the Keema Pau. Spicy chicken mince crowned with a duck egg, yolk ready to spill its guts at first contact, with a buttery, toasted bun on the side built purely for the job of mopping up every last drop. An absolute joy

It was a beautiful restaurant, Raja Monkey - Harborne. But unfortunately it’s permanently closed now. Their food was really great as well! Now their current location is at Hall Green, Birmingham.

If you’re in Birmingham or near Hall Green definitely visit @rajamonkey. The food was knockout, and the staff very welcoming. The best curry I’ve had in a long long time. What’s not to like! Next time it’ll be dosas, got a bit of food envy seeing them being delivered to other tables!! #curry #indianfood #birmingham #hallgreen
