5 days until Christmas!

No one knew what to expect with the coming of the Messiah. Each had his or her own idea or thought of what the Messiah would be like and how he would come. Many, if not all the Jews, believed that he would come as a great military leader who would overthrow the Romans and establish God's kingdom on earth. But in reality, they had absolutely no idea what to expect.

And thank goodness he wasn't what we were expecting. He was exactly what we needed.

I don't even need to say it anymore, do I? it. was. awesome. I've seen so many people on ig say they loved it when they saw it in theatres (US people 🥲) so I was reaalllyyyyy looking forward to this. obviously, it did not disappoint. I loved the worship, the monologues, and of course - the new episode. just- I can't put it in words.

For anyone who watched the Chosen Christmas Special and was curious as to what the salt meant!

I just read this and am absolutely blown away and in awe... what a beautiful and blessed thing Joseph did for Baby Jesus!!!!

Repost from James Cunningham on FB: I love doing research when we are creating any episode for The Chosen. While researching for the Christmas Special, I came across a video from The Chosen's @rabbijasonsobel about the swaddling cloth (link below). In it he talked about when the child was born the father would take salt and wash the child. This was significant for three things: to sanitize and clean the skin, to toughen the skin from the environment and the third I thought was amazing. The father washed the child with the salt to show the child was his legitimate son. For Joseph to wash Jesus it meant he believed God's message and promise about Jesus. He put himself through cultural distain to claim Jesus as his own. Such a beautiful gesture in such a humble moment. A great example of God's love for us, taking us and making us part of His family through His Son Jesus. @dallas.jenkins and I both agreed that people must know.
