sometimes, the best ideas hide in what gets left behind

making of / behind the scenes

as i always say, life has a funny way of bringing interesting opportunities (and people)

this time was no different

@kelso_kesidyman is a loyal client of mine at my work and this time he came to me to get a fresh suit. the trousers needed to be tailored to fit perfectly.
when we shortened the trousers, a few pieces of fabric were left behind.
pieces that would normally have ended up in the bin.

but then came the question:

“could you make a mask out of this?”

i could.

the result?

a 1 of 1 mask, made specifically for his new music video.

from the first idea, through construction, cutting and sewing, all the way to the final piece.

in this carousel, i’m sharing the whole making process, a few backstage moments from the shoot, and finally a little preview from the music video.

and this is exactly what i love about what i do.

you never really know where one ordinary suit, a few leftover pieces of fabric and an interesting person might take you.

the material gets a second life.

the idea takes shape.

and suddenly, something exists that can only exist once.

thank you for the trust and for letting me be a part of this project
