We’re going to bail someone out of jail today. In April 2026, a man broke into Barnes & Noble to finish a book. As the author of that book, Purple Rose: The Stars Carry Her Name — Letters from Me to Her, a collection of 33 love letters written in North Carolina to one woman living here, I felt it was my duty to bail this gentleman out and give him a signed copy of my work. While I appreciate how deeply my work means to people, there is no need to break into stores. There are several locations throughout Raleigh and North Carolina that carry my book, with more around the country requesting it. For my North Carolina readers: Nice Price Books 3106 Hillsborough St Raleigh, NC 27607 📍 The Reader’s Corner 3001 Hillsborough St Raleigh, NC 27607 📍 So & So Books 719 N Person St Raleigh, NC 27604 📍 Libreria Bookstore 111 N College Ave Newton, NC 28658 📍 @libreriabooks And for everyone else, it is available at JamesVThePoet.com If you would like to see me live: What: Dreams & Legacy Part 2 — Hip-Hop & R&B Night When: Friday, May 1st, 2026 | 9 PM – 2 AM Where: Terminal 8 Lounge 📍 Hosted by: @cocobellah What: Creators Market Where: 5104 Western Blvd, Unit A, Raleigh, NC 27606 📍 When: Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 | 9 AM – 3 PM Hosted by: @turnmeuprank #RaleighNC #poetry #poetrycommunity #indieauthor #author
